    - No spend day yesterday
    - Had Sainsburys shopping delivered today...normally get it on Saturdays when DH is home but now baby is older it's easy to do it on a weekday when can get free delivery.
    - Some surveys done.
    - Got voucher for free Wilkinson Sword razor from Sainsburys so picked that up...meant for men but if DH doesn't use it, I will! (secretly hoping he uses it and likes it as the replacement blades are cheaper than the Gilette ones he has now!)

    - Few surveys done
    - Washing done on 30C quick wash with half the recommended powder and a spoon of soda crystals...seems to get everything clean
    - Bit of an expensive day as DS2 car seat broke...was hoping to get a few more months out of it before he was too big. Bought new car seat but saved £40 thanks to searching around on the internet a bit first.

  • - Cut hubbys hair again with new trimmers.
    - Free luch at work (over 2 days) last week, but otherwise I take packed lunch or I wouldn't eat, as my office is not near any shops.
    - Planned this weeks meals, so only bought what we needed to get to next weekend (and into new month). Otherwise would have spent £80+ at large supermarket, instead I only spent £25.
    - Took kids for a swim, so had them shower and wash hair while there, saved having baths at home.
    - Walking to local shops now instead of driving, (unless chucking it down with rain) as I can't carry shopping and umbrella as it is a good 20 minute walk both ways.
    - Unplugged all appliances not being used, eg the Wii and a broken DVD player that was only telling us the time. Also switched off the microwave at the plug, as it is rarely used.

Will post some more soon. x

Paid £9 in change in to my savings account today. :)
I asked my DD to pay it in on her way to work so I didn't have to make a special journey either.

Regular surveys since May means i'm ready to cash out £20 on valued opinions (leaving another £6 in there on its way to another voucher!), have also hot redemption level on toluna, consumer pulse, maximiles (although am debating whether to save up for kindle rather than the usual grocery vouchers)

Packed lunch, charged phone at work, used coupons on grocery shop, received some freebies from offers online, expecting some products to trial from survey companies too.

Bought all kitchen appliances through a warehouse supplier and saved myself 30% on retail prices which turns into a hefty saving of £100's!

Negotiated very good deal on TV directly with Samsung - saving approx £400-500

Finally transferred this years allowance into ISA

Having spent most weekends dealing with house refurb - it means I have spent very little on doing anything else! (lets not think about the cost of the refurb though!) :s

    Yesterday I

    - had a 2-hour pub lunch on expenses :)
    - started lift-sharing to work (50 miles/day, 4 days/week) :j
(unfortunately 2 months later than it could have been because my message via the liftshare website went into her company's junk mail folder :( trying not to work out how much I could have saved in petrol already...)

    Today I

    - have sold 3 boxes of eggs from my happy garden hens to colleagues (for £3.75) :)
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)
