It soon goes though Ammonite, I started OPing back in 2009 and can't believe how quickly it's flying buy. I'm also at a better point than I thought I would be purely because of my fellow MSE-ers. Yeah, if i was left to my own devices i would have still OPed but probably just stuck to my budgeted amount every month. But because of MSE, because of the forum, because of the other posters, I find more to save and I'm more motivated to fling as much as I can at the mortgage
Went to a shopping centre today and picked up 90p's worth of Quidco checkins.
Sadly that all I've done MSE today0 -
Talking of slow cookers , I am making a rice pudding in mine today
. Made a big batch of soup today from woopsied veg.
Never tried a pudding in mine - that sounds scrummy.
Quite embarrassed to admit it but I don't know what " woopsied" is - can some explain?4 February 2014 - Mortgage Free

It's a reduced item of food. One of the supermarkets uses price reduction labels that says "Whoops!" on it which is where the saying has come from. I think it might be Asda?
Curly - You are right, I'm so glad I found MSE when I was just 21. Although my Mum and Dad brought me up well with money, I've saved so much, saved loads on buying a house, survey sites to help with christmas. Its amazing what you can do when you put a bit of time and effort in£200 is our aim per month, but I'm already on a huge mission
hope I can sustain the momentum!

I love that. If Bill & Ted's Big Adventure had been about Shopping rather than Time Travel I'm sure they would have had some Bargainous purchases also ......dude0 -
Today, I have checked the petrol prices online, made a slight detour after church and filled up my car at the price of 139.9p/l. It was 2p less per litre than Shell filling station where I usually go.
Yesterday, made it at whoopsie time at MrT and brought home a trolley full of veggies, bbq chicken, fruit and evian/highland spring water(selling at 87p for 12x500ml and 91 for 6x2L packs) all for a princely sum of £19.xx. As per my shopping list, I was going to spend £40 and make use of the £6 off MOC. Anyway, I was glad to help out the next customer by handing over the MOC for her to use. She must have thanked me at least 10 times in a period of a few seconds.
Have a good day, everyone.Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

Just have an image of you watching how much chicken everyone has so that you make sure you have enough left... :rotfl:Anna_Glypta wrote: »A well aimed fork will do the trick if too much is disappearing - or I could be really mean and remind my Mum she's on a diet
Just thought I should let you know in case anyone was worried, no forks were required and no mother was insulted with the mention of a diet - got plenty of chicken left over for a chicken pie and cajun chicken gumbo - guess I'm cooking again this week. Definitely have to look into getting a small extra freezer.
Hope everyone is enjoying the rain :j4 February 2014 - Mortgage Free
