Is the Gumbo freezeable? If so I may join in Gumbo-fest later in the month when I have some room in the freezer

I don't see why not - provided your meat hasn't been frozen before if you are using left overs it should be fine. I plan on making it for dinner on Thursday and using gammon and chicken that has been frozen previously but when it was raw and is now left over so will be freezing any left overs (if there are any!) so I hope so! Does that make sense?

So far from the chicken I did in the slow cooker for Sunday dinner (for three) I have made chicken pie (three portions again) and will be using the rest for the gumbo which I think will make at least another three portions. AND I have two litres of delicious chicken stock in the freezer (which reminds me I must get one out tomorrow for the gumbo!)

Not sure if I can post the link to the recipe but here it is if it works -

    Hi all,

See folks are doing well! I started my own little diary. In case anyone is on Ciao, Toy reviews are getting 25p bonus throughout May so I know what I'll be focusing on. Don't really like Ciao unless there are bonuses and then recycle the reviews for DooYoo too :) 241 !! :T

Checked my credit card yesterday too (Amazon reward card) and a £10 should be coming my way by the end of May :money: will pay for ink cartridges that are desperately needed by my printer.

My diary if anyone wants to see it : :D

It is a service that pays you to have adverts on things. Do you have a website or youtube videos or something along those lines?

£1.45 on onepoll in the last week

I signed up for onepoll just now. If only I had known that there is a referral scheme, I would have asked you to refer me. I am now looking for a referral for Pinecone Research: the incentive being they pay by PP - ready cash ;)

    Today
    • Charging mobile and laptop at work
    • Home-made lunch and coffee
    • Took out today's dinner (freezer surprise) and left it to defrost in fridge
    • Used electric appliances (washing machine, rice cooker, iron, airpot - even the shower rated 10kW) before 7AM to take advantage of night rate
    • Kept away from the Grabbit board - lead us not into temptation
    Hi

I also do the night time electricity rate savings. I get up at 6am to put the dishwasher and washing machine on..:rotfl:I thought I was only mad one...My family think I am a bit obsessed by the money saving malacky..May be its abit like the saying `only other alcoholics understand alcoholics``....

Worked at home today £4.70 saving :)

Also twice this week, when I've known I'm not going to be at my computer I've switched it off. This may seem obvious but it takes about 20 mins to boot up and so I lazily leave it on. Sometimes it can be on 14-15 hours :o fessed up now so promise I'll be a better computer-switcher-offer !

Also, been checking Onepoll, another poster here said you need to check throughout the day rather than just once per day....had 3 surveys today so if you are on it, definitely worth doing that.

Did another Toy review for Ciao and copied it over to DooYoo

Need to go food shopping for fridge stuff but trying to put it off as long as possible so that I can squeeze more out of the shopping budget this month as I want to use some of it to overpay!

    Thanks, just earned 45p :rotfl:.

Done an Approved Foods order, so saved a fortune and lost a lot of cupboard space :D.
