Writing up some spreadsheets so that I can better see whether or not we're meeting our targets.

    Recently for me:

    * did the netfix trial via TCB (think we may keep the subscription as DH loving it :o) £12.12 for watching programmes we wanted to see :T
    * raised a claim on TCB for them to increase to match the quidco rate of £15 (seen on the netflix trial thread, fairly easy to do, just click on the "highest cashback guaranteed" link on the RH side of your TCB screen when logged in and follow the on screen instructions). Would be a nice bonus to get the extra few £, but even if they don't pay out, I resent Quidco keeping their annual £5, so figured I'd rather go with TCB
    * Other than library fines and a birthday gift, and two takeaways :o NS weekend.
    * birthday flowers sent via online florist via TCB
    * just washed out some plastic takeaway dishes for reusing later. I needed some new containers for carrying food to work, so that partially makes up for ordering the takeaway... right? :o

£2 into the pot and about to count my £1 coins.

In theory they were being used for an aquarium, but buying furniture is probably a more pressing need :o

Edit: There was £368 in the jars :) Made an additional £18.50 payment towards the OP pot and will think about the rest later...

Banked £327.50 in loose change, some of which I'll use for furniture, some for future OPs
    £11.08 into the OP pot
Took a packed lunch into work for the first time in about a fortnight and bought three bags of in-season fruit from Aldi. I've always been a fan of packed lunches, but the savings have got better in the last year (food inflation?) Not allowing for the gas used to cook the pasta, think it saves us about £10/week?
  • Ok i havent posted in ages but today i phoned BT and paid our line rental in advance for the whole year and have saved £55.20 :j:j
Also phoned sky to cancel our movies which would have saved £7.50 a month and the guy on the other end offered to reduce our bill by £10.40 per month for six months if we kept them...no brainer really :D

I'm starting to get the feeling that this is my favourite thread :o

    £4 into the OP pot
Posting a Wii game that we sold on Amazon, that will add a few £ once they pay out
Finishing off spreadsheets - have added some nice graphs so that I can show visually how our OP rate is trending ;)

    * DH's netflix claim has been uplifted by TCB to match the quidco amount - well done tcb, quick, easy claim resolution :T
    * meetings at work so lunching on leftovers :)

£4 Overpayment into the OP pot
Looked at the MSE Overpayment calculator - I love how even our mini OPs to date (£50 and rising) will knock £124 of interest off the total paid - what's not to love about that?
  • After footy I didn't have a coke in the bar after and I didn't stop for fish n chips on the way home!

Did burn a few pancakes though :(

Mmm, love pancakes & they are soooo cheap ~ should really make them more often as my kids would happily eat them more than once a year!!

    * Received voucher for free cake from Co-op (worth £2.20)
    * Walked into town so I didn't have to pay for parking
    * Don't get paid until Friday so have been using up food from freezer/cupboards
    * Made huge vat of HM veggie/bean soup with bendy veg & tins I've had in the cupboard for far too long
