My exH struggled to remember (or should I say bother with) xmas never mind all the rest...no wonder he is my ex! Hope he comes home with something for you dollydaydream!...but it kinda takes the edge of the enjoyment when you have to ask doesn't it!
I (and the kids) have been treated again today to a lovely lunch out by my mum and dad. My brother and his wife and my twin nephews were supposed to be coming to stay with them this weekend -but one nephew broke is wrist badly and has had to stay in hospital to get it pinned so they couldn't come, luckily he is OK and home now.
My mum therefor had lots of tea cakes and a quiche that wouldn't fit in her freezer so I have come home with them! As I am taking the kids out for a pic-nic tomorrow its saved me a bit :D. I am just keeping fingers crossed that it stays fine as the clouds have appeared!
My dd got a virus on her netbook yesterday so it needs repairing which is flippin annoying. Luckily I know a cheap reliable repair shop but its sad that someone has had nothing better to do with their time than to create virus's to cause other people inconvenience!

Mrs VP - how awful for you, a complete smack in the face - and on a public social networking site as well - talk about rubbing your nose in it! Obviously you have some hard thinking to do. Certainly, as someone else said earlier, it would be wise to check on the finances and the legalities in case he did decide to do a flit - protect yourself and children if you have any. Once you get your head clear as to what you want to happen, then some hard straight talking with the OH will be on the menu.

Dollydaydream - some men are useless when it somes to remembering occasions. I would just stick to giving him a card for his birthday/Christmas/anniversary, save your money by not buying presents for someone who obviously cannot be bothered to make a note of these important dates. It's like Mothers Day - my DD sent me a funny customised card, but my son had to be nagged by his father to get a notelet card out of the cupboard and scrawl his signature in it. I don't ask for huge expensive piles of presents, I'm not materialistic like that, but a card and a simple bunch of daffs makes all the difference.

Hope everyone has had a pleasant Easter holiday, another bank hol weekend next week!

  • Oh, Mrs VP - thinking of you.

Dolly - tell him how you feel. Chances are he has no idea.

on reflection: surely people only say that sort of thing on a social networking site if they really want a secret to be discovered, maybe not having the :footie::footie: to actually tell the person face to face.
