Annie - so sorry to hear of your loss, and welshcamper too - sending you belated hugs (((())))

thanks everyone for advice re: pre-payment certificates - I don't usually need any medication, so it wouldn't be worth it for me, although my tonsillitis seems to be coming back :( probably cos I only took 2 days worth of the penicillin before having the reaction, so I think I'm going to end up back at the doctors tomorrow for more antibiotics, which will mean I will have spent £30 on prescriptions in just 10 days, which is ridiculous - that's more than my weekly budget for food - and the next month is going to be a tough enough one anyway, so I will have to find someway to make up the shortfall (we went almost £500 overdrawn this month because of unexpected bills, vets bills etc, so really need to tighten our belts now:eek:).

GreyQueen - sorry to hear IB is still being a pain - I am soooo keeping everything crossed that the court hearing goes ahead and that you finally get some peace - Ceridwen had some good idea's as well, which might be good as a backup plan.

Still reading through pages of messages.......

    Just a thought

Can anyone recommend any OS remedies for tonsillitis - not sure if I can face any more prescriptions, and certainly can't afford any more, so I'm willing to give anything reasonable a try! I've already had a hot toddy, and a honey and lemon drink - any other idea's out there???

Joeck68.........Not good to have a bad allergic reaction like youve just had.....I had similar 3 yr back I was fine on penicillan for years and years, then all of a sudden when I was given some for some medical prob I started coming out in a severe rash and throat too, but as it was the weekend I knew that I had to take the tabs for at least 3 days before they start to kick in,not being aware at all that ive suddenly allergic to tabs,, well by Monday I was very ill and eneded up in hospital, due to the allergy that I never knew I had................so ive got a huge red cross on my medical notes now, also im now allergic to plasters..!!!!...

On to a better subject the weather as again been brilliant here, got 2 load dry including duvets sheets etc.........very warm too....but I do believe we have rain spreading in tonight:eek:...I expect mardartha will have the yellow ball while we get the rain tomorow.......she is due a good warm sunny day......:DTea time now catch you all later......:D

I sent an email to the H.O. about Idiot Boy first thing this morning and the read receipt shows he read it before 8 am. I asked hypothetically, what would happen IF he's settled his accounts, would the case, led by TOCD (arrears) with the ASB contributing, still be going to court on 12/04? H.O came back to me in the last few minutes and the case wouldn't be abandoned but that he'll get hold of TOCD to see what IB's "intentions" are but not today or tomorrow as he's doing training. No news and hopefully not bad news to come......:( Case should go ahead but ASB possessions are harder to get than arrears possessions so there are no guarantees....

Has your Council got an ASB coordinator? If so, they should be building the case to get an eviction....your noise evidence should help, also diaries, evidence from the Housing team etc. Also, ask them whether it is worth you calling the Police every time he is excessively noisy or disturbing, as this will get the incident logged & will all go against him. Also, do your local noise team run an out-of-hours service at all?

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'm in awe of all of you who catch up when absent....I'm going to make do with good wishes to those who need them and congratulations to those who don't!

DH and I had a great long weekend, catching up with planting that needed doing, and attacking more weeds. But he had a horrid horrid cold. He went back towork today and immeadiatly on getting in to the office was sent overseas..so doubtless he'll get another on the flight. :( Next weekend will be different as we are hosting a function...we're not charging but hoping it will be good advertising for the business potential here...hoping people can see past hard core and see the bits we HAVE done.

I also have to clean out the loft.....guess that's an issue of going up with dust pan and brush and a face mask? Birds have been living in there and its going to be a bit yucky...and I'd like to get the old straw out etc. I'm hoping to get some loft insulation up there over summer.

"Are the Government trying to get all sorts of people - even the middleclass - to have children regardless of whether they actually WANT them or no?".

Think that's an unfortunate choice of words C ... Class distinction is hopefully a thing of the past!
