Just had the fright of my life. I was settling down to watch Twilight (for about the millionth time) and wham - power cut across the whole of the city.

It eventually came back on - but then my TV wouldn't work :eek:. Queue me worrying that I would have to go out and buy a new one, planning on finding out who was responsible for the power cut, lugging my small but heavy TV in from the bedroom so I'd have something to watch etc etc.

But my electrical expertise finally got the big TV working :T - So I've saved a couple of hundred quid tonight. Thank god it didn't happen during Britain's Got Talent.

Just managed to turn a £2 bonus on JJ into £20 :T - I make that £50 for nothing over the past few days :beer:

Well, yesterday I thought my TV had gone kaput - but today my mobile phone has definitely gone kaput. I can call people, and they can hear me, but I can't hear them or their phone even ring. That's what you get for buying second-hand on eBay I guess.

I was all for spending some of my Amazon vouchers on a new one, but I can't risk my bed fund. I've got an old phone that I can use for the time being, but it's not ideal as it has a rubbish battery and needs charging every evening.

So, I am embarking on 'Operation: Win a Phone'!! I don't care which phone it is, as long as it works. Even if it's one that I really don't like, I could sell it and use the money to get one I do want. I've got a picture of a phone that I would like on my desktop, so I can see it every day and concentrate on getting it.

I'm going to enter at least 200 competitions a week for a mobile phone and see how long it takes me to win one. I won't give in until I do!!!

Well you've had mixed luck this week :rotfl: but I have no doubt you'll win one soon, try for an Iphone they are really cool! We had a power cut last week the whole of the North of Scotland went out! Its scary that!
