I think if you're not paying interest then it doesn't matter if it takes you longer, the need to pay them back quicker is when evil interest rates are costing you a fortune!
If taking longer makes your life less stressful then go for it!
And thanks for the PM, will definitely be checking that out xDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
My debts will be paid off eventually, but not at the expense of living my life.
Emz xxBut I never really thought about why I needed to do it. The answer is that I don't, as long as I pay my DMP payment every month, they will disappear eventually.

:T Glad to hear it Em, see my sig that I have been sporting for just over a monthYou if anyone needs to love life and live life to the full because as very sad as it is, you know you won't be around forever.
Your debts are now under control and you are paying what NEEDS paying. Now go and live life, spend £30 on a mug or £50 on a meal out. Please don't deprive your life because you 'must pay the debt back'.
Take care0 -

Thanks Pap. I don't think I could spend £30 on a mug  - but I get what you mean. OH and I went to an outlet village place last month and they had this gorgeous silver clock with butterflies on it. It was only £10, but I didn't buy it because I would have felt guilty about not paying that £10 off my debts.
So when I get paid next month, I'm going to go back and see if they still have it there.

Good on you for going to the festival. I was going to miss the tennis at the O2 this year, but I think I will save up and go now (once my mum is paid back obviously
). Life is too short. All of my debts are with DCAs so I am not paying interest either.
How are you going on the Onepoll by the way?
Emz xx
Onepoll is slow but I am now doing it at lunchtime so I can get more polls up to £37.85 so close I can taste it hehe!0 -

Keep going :j - they pay really quickly by the way, I got mine through yesterday, so it was less than a week.

Good for you and if not you can treat yourself to something nice!! Its hard not to feel guilty tho but living comes first! I tend to spend money on doing stuff rather stuff itself! There are lots of things I want to do, list as long as your arm. Im just doing the small things now and then the bigger things when its paid off!0 -
Hi everyone
Went to see OH's parents in Devon on Friday night and got back last night. Kind of feel like it's my duty to go there sometimes. I always get a talking to from his mum asking me to get him to do this and suggest that to him. The man can't be changed!! I have tried.
Anyway, off to the cinema later with my sister to see Water For Elephants, as my cinema card came through on Friday :j - love a bit of R-Patz

Just popped in to say - Water For Elephants - wow!! Such a good film. One of the best films I have seen in a long time
. Rubbish trailers though
