No problem, you can ask for referrals, but only on the referrals board.
A Market 3 exchange is one with three or more LLU suppliers on it. Plusnet charge a lot more (£12.99) on Market 1&2 exchanges.
    More info here:

No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Sorry I'm not conversant with these abreviations. While I've got you here perhaps you could tell me in laymans language.
    What is a LLU supplier.
Trying to learn something new every day.

    ;)

Local Loop Unbundled: i.e. ISP's that have their own kit in the local exchange, use their own networks and so do not resell BT Wholesale services. Plusnet is a non-LLU provider (not surprising, since it's owned by BT).

  • I have orange broadband & line rental and calls , joined 3 months ago, i joined through quidco for the £70 and its just been paid, also had 3 months free, plus joined on reccomend a friend each got £50 knocked off the bills - so im stil no paying yet ;)

cant fault them, used to be with orange before then decided to join plusnet for some unknown reason - wish id never changed and had to buy myself out of the contract i was in just to get shut of them
  • Orange are going to transfer their broadband to BT at some point so this should make a big difference to the service.

That's interesting to hear. My Orange BB is now all up and running and so far i'm happy with it. Obviously it's a big drop from cable modem speeds, but i've always known the area i live in has a poor ADSL speed anyway - the average is around 6mb, but then that's fine for me.

If a move to BT will bump that up then that's great news.
