And also they have to set a limit somewhere and in thier rules carrying them would probaly count as another item.0

But if your hand luggage suitcase was already full, and you weren't able to fit the bag in your main bag then you have 2 bags, so that packet of sweets would cost you £40. A lot of the secondary airports that Ryanair uses heavily depend on the revenue from duty free sales as they have to give Ryanair super low landing fees otherwise Ryanair will throw a tantrum and pack their bags. If people won't purchase a bottle of whisky/perfume/oversized chocolate bar due to Ryanair's restrictions then airports will have to increase landing charges to make up for lost revenue. In turn this will lead to higher fares, or Ryanair just clearing off entirely to another airport 100 miles away from the intended destination.
This thread is about Easyjet hand baggage and not Ryanair. On the other hand many would be happy to see Ryanair "clearing off entirely".0 -
I wonder if Easyjet/Ryanair will make people put their cut of coffee into their one bag as well?0

Flew EJ back to LGW from Istanbul last Sunday.
The woman at the gate checking what you were carrying stood no messing with anyone
What is it with short, middle aged redheads?
3 x-ray checks too, and you couldn't take water onboard, even if the bottle was unopened and bought in Duty-Free!0 -

why dont they just scrap all rules. Let everyone fly for free and take as much as they like.
Stelios and O'Leary are just trying to be awkward and rip everyone off with their silly rules0 -
