Csa?

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place but . . .
My ex has a good job. Most of his earnings are through OT.
Now can some one explain this to me.
Ex lives with GF, GF has 1 child (not my ex's)
I live with BF, I have 1 child (which is ex's)
CSA has said Ex is to take £54 out of his wages for gf's child (that isnt his!!) but our child together gets £45??
How does that work out?
How can he possibly pay maintainence to a child that isnt his (he has no parental responsibility court order etc either and in no form linked to the child other than he's with the mother) and pay less for his own that he doesnt see?

Have you spoken to the child's father directly and asked him what he wants to contribute financially to his child?0

lol
As little as possible. there's another post knocking about on here somewhere - he doesnt see DD as the GF wont "allow it" - he admitted yesterday he hoped DD "forgot" him and saw my OH as her daddy
He stopped paying maintainence as GF didnt think it was fair i "got more money" than she did (her ex doesnt pay much towards their child) so I got CSA involved.
CSA have said he should pay more to a kid thhat isnt his (!!)
It's daft0 -
He's not paying that money for that child.
They deduct 15% of his wage because there is a child in the household. They then calculate 15% of what is left as his contribution towards your child.A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

The other childs name, D.O.B etc are on the award notice with the amount next to her name
My childs name is underneath with same details and lower amount
I have also tried to speak to CSA because ex knew i was going through them he made sure he didnt do any extra work (its gauranteed) for 2 months so his wages were basic - his basic rate is only £17k a year - he actually earned £29k+
They said i cant ask for a review for a year and that they got the figures from his wage slip.
I was also told that they had no took into account the GF's CB - which when i originally claimed they said they would?0 -

yes, this. He has a household with a child living in it so that first 15% is contribution to household bills for a family rather than a couple or a single person.
standard form print-outs with award notices and entitlements etc rarely make much sense from DWP/HMRC regarding benefits or calculations.0 -
You need to play the system in a way that is advantages to you if you want to get anywhere.0

I take it that the 45 is per week, there's no way he'd pay 45 per month on 17k.

He must have told the CSA (or his GF has!) that the child that lives with him is his, otherwise they would work it out like Krystaltips has explained.
There's no way he would be paying maintenance for the child otherwise.
Maybe they have done it on purpose, so a cut of his money comes straight back into the home and not to you, but do the CSA actually sort out maintenance for familes who live in the same house??Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
I honestly have no idea how csa work out what they doMy ex is on £24k a year, he has no other kids, own house (bought outright) hardly any outgoings and i get £39.29 a week direct from his wages. So compaired to that your not getting a bad deal

that's rubbish
Technically my ex is on a hell of a lot more than £17k so i'm kicking up a stink to get a review. I dont see why they cant pull his P60 in april and average it from that.
I did think maybe they had told CSA he was that kid's dad
I'm going to query why they haven't taken into account the GF's CB.
(I know i seem a spiteful sod but he's messed me and DD about so much and this is just the tip of an iceberg.)0
