My contract just got cancelled after upgrade?
Hey there,
So a few weeks ago i called orange retentions as my contract was up for renewal. They didnt offer a great deal so i asked to leave. they said they would terminate my contract.
I then called in a few days later and explained if they can offer a good deal i would stay, so they gave me an ok deal and went with that.
Im using the new contract with the new sim and new handset they sent me. Now today i have no service, i call up orange and the guy said the line has been disconnected because i requested a cancellation. I explained i had an upgrade a few weeks back, he said no it has been cancelled. Asked if i wanted the line reconnected i said no as i didnt want him to put me on the olod tarrif.
What do i do now? i have been sent an upgrade phone with no contract??!

Put it in writing to them? Surely they would expect the handset back?
I'd just ring them and explain. If you do have the new hand set just go onto a sim-only deal which are cheaper.0 -
Careful they don't hit you with a 24-month cancellation charge if their records show you have cancelled after you upgraded.
Speak to their billing team quickly, particularly if your DD is still active!0 -
Hi A.I.
Sorry to hear what's happened! As the other posters have suggested, I would advise to call Orange asap to sort this out!
Your best point of contact for this issue may be our Customer Relations Team, who can be reached by calling 0800 0790272 and selecting option 3. They are open from 08:30 to 22:00 Monday to Friday and 08:30 to 20:30 at weekends. They will be able to see the reason that your phone has been disconnected and may be able to reconnect you onto the deal you accepted within a few minutes.
I hope this helps.
