I think a lot of us feel used by you. We thought we were helping someone short of cash to spend their money wisely. Very disappointed.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but I can't quite see what part of the original poster's website makes you think it's a 'new business'? Give the guy a break, there's no advertising on there and he's not selling anything. To me it just looks like he's creating a little site that will have tips on how to buy cheap London Theatre Tickets.
I for one could do with a site like that being up and running as I'm currently looking for some theatre tickets to a London show but all the sites I've come across have them at the same price.0 -
Thanks for all of the replies, everyone! The SAGA tip is helpful.lefthandred wrote: »Forgive me if I'm wrong but I can't quite see what part of the original poster's website makes you think it's a 'new business'? I hope my site will be helpful to others once it is complete!0 -

That is so brilliant. No advertising and no money generation from click throughs.0 -

I think people wouldn't have complained so much if you had clicked the 'thanks' icon in each individual post rather than a generalised thanks (people seem to vie with each about the number of thanks they have received)0 -
Oh, this was exactly what I came into the forum for today, oddly enough.
Super. Cheers
(@The Little Fellow - post the link when it's sorted? And ignore certain people in this thread0 -

But why should someone do that just because people are collecting "thanks" like marbles? A general thanks is enough for someone who wants to help out; we don't all help for rewards

Theatremonkey is a fab source.
Try officiallondontheatre.co.uk.
Nationaltheatre website has Travelex sponsored tix at reduced prices.
Seetickets have their Box Office section which are reduced tix.
Day seats are another way to get cheap tix. Get to the theatre early in the morning and they often release a handful of seats at heavily reduced cost.
Likewise turning up just before the show starts can occasionally turn up a bargain, although this is a bit hit and miss.
Joining whatsonstage.com is good - you get loads of reduced tickets and even free ones.
Ambassador Theatre Group have member discounts as does Delfont Macintosh.
Make sure any half price ticket sellers are STAR registered. This guarantees you get what you pay for.
WWRU forum has info on getting cheap tix.
Any reduced ticket is good in my book, especially We Will Rock You :T0 -
