Ways to get Cheap London Theatre Tickets

Hey all!

I am just doing some research into this topic, and I wondered if you could all help me? Are there any ways to get cheap London theatre tickets? I know that if you are a student or a senior citizen, discounts are often available, but are there any other ways such as voucher codes etc?

All ideas are welcome and will be greatly appreciated!

  • Not so much a voucher code but if you are looking to save money on theatre breaks show-and-stay.co.uk offer shows and hotels at discount prices.

I just wondered what your definition of gratitude is. A thank you? I see no one who has tried to help you out has been so honoured with your 'great appreciation'.
Sorry to be blunt, but it is this which puts people off trying to help others; who can only be more thankful than you.

Now of course I shall feel bad if there is a perfectly valid reason behind the oversight.

On the clubcard tickets- they are the back of the stalls, from around 20 in row T. £69 seats- look good on theatremonkey.

Thank you for your post but I was actually waiting for feedback before I came back and replied. I have been taking note of everything that people have been saying in this thread. I am busy and cannot post every single day. As you can see, I last posted 16/2/2011 which is a week ago. Sorry that I can only manage to post once a week :)

Anyway, thank you everyone for your replies. They have been helpful for my research.

I am creating a website now which provides info on this topic for theatregoers. So far I have only completed the tab about Under 26/Student discounts for tickets, but I plan to add more tabs soon. Here is the site so far:

What do you make of the info provided and would you find it helpful? Is there anything else I need to add to this category?

So let me get this right. You canvassed the goodwill on this site to help you set up a new business? And did not tell people upfront?

I think a lot of us feel used by you. We thought we were helping someone short of cash to spend their money wisely. Very disappointed.
  • I have used last min for meal/theatre combo deals and although the seats you get are not the best by a long way, it does make shows affordable.

My understanding is that if you are a mamber of SAGA (you need to be 50+), the seats are not bad at all but I don't know about costs.

    Hope that helps ;)
