I'm so sorry for you but as someone else said you did a very unselfish thing in putting a stop to any suffering and letting her go. What a good age for a dog too!LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

I know how utterly devastated you all our, we lost our beloved golden retriever on valentines day and are still reeling from the shock she was only 13.5 and it only feels like yesterday since she was a puppy.
We want another golden but we will have up to a two year wait on breeders lists so in the meantime we have rescued a puppy and he does help.
Sending you warmest hugs xxReturning member as system did not know me anymore

Yes, it is the emptyness, the lack of greeting and waggy tail at the door, just the company of a truly loyal companion, all that sort of stuff; it still gets me every day. So heartbreaking, but also a sad fact of life that all of us know we will have to deal with at some time - which of course doesn't make it any easier. Sorry for you and your family.0

So sorry for your loss holly was a very special member of your family , we lost our 2 dogs within 3 months of each other last year and have never ever felt so lonely and empty it is heart breaking. But it does get easier you never forget them. We did get another puppy and then a 6 months after that had to get another so we have 2 again causing chaos
