My diary - getting rid of my debt deamons!

So far so good this week, brought my lunch to work on my office days and so far this week I have not spent anything!
I have paid off £440 of debt so far this Jan, planning to pay another £415 and get rid of CC1.
Feb will be concentrating on getting rid of the Lloyds CC.
So far on ebay I have a few bids, I don't think I will get much for what I do sell, but otherwise I would just either bin or take stuff to the charity shop, so anything is better than nothing.
I feel that I am doing really well at the moment, but this is because I am having quiet weekends in and not buying any clothes or even going near the shops. I am just hoping that I can stay strong at the point when this all gets a bit boring and unexciting, and hope that I can stick to the end goal of debt freedom.[STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

Today I moved my hair appointment for Saturday back by 3 weeks, my hair isn't looking too bad, and I haven't got the money to spend on getting it done this month! Well, seeing as I am not going out much anyway this month, it's no big deal anyway!

I recently downloaded a TV series to my ipad to watch, which is ok for one person but now my bf wants to watch it also, so I needed to hook the ipad up to the TV. Thought I was going to invest in an expensive cable, but worked out this evening that I could do it from my laptop, by downloading icloud then after much fiddling around with cables, successfully connect the laptop to the tv, and voila!!! :T Saved around £25 or whatever the cable would have cost me.
Also, counted out a pot of spare small change, and I have a £5 worth of 5p coins bagged and ready, and another £2 in 1p and 2p coins, ready to take to the bank next time i'm in town. It's nothing much, but all helps.
I can smugly say that I am £32 better off today :rotfl:[STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

p.s anyone see that programme on the other night about sugar vs fat??
Really interesting and got me thinking about my diet and WHY oh WHY the chocolate covered raisins are so damn moreish. And WHY it is that when I work from home I keep going to the cupboard to "graze" on high calorie food.
I am going to try and make a few changes to my diet after watching that. Wonder how long it will last when the stress of dissertation kicks in?![STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

Thought it would be good to do a monthly summary. So here goes for January;
Debt paid: £425
Money made: £8.82
Total dissertation word count: 2,816
Not bad, not bad. Let's see if I can do any better through Feb![STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

I have sold 12 items on ebay, 7 have paid and I posted today. Still waiting for 5 more to pay. When they do, that will be around £35 extra this month.
Also waiting for £5 of expenses to hit my account. If I wasn't debt busting, I probably wouldn't have put the expenses in as it is such a faff and such a small amount, but glad I did as every little bit is helping me.
So that's about £40 for a bit of effort this month that I would not usually have bothered with![STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

Got the £5 expenses in the bank, and all but one of my ebayers paid for their items (one is clearly not planning on paying looking at her feedback from other ebayers. Cheeky so and so marked the item as 'paid', I guess thinking that I am stupid enough to think that she had, so that I would post to her!?) I made £38.02 less ebay and paypal fees, so very pleased with that.
I have just made a small payment of £15 off one of the cards
Also I have not bought lunch at all at work and have taken sandwiches and snacks in for every office day. Apart from the supermarket spending (which is out of the joint account) I cannot remember a time when I have gone so long without spending anything at all![STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59
