My diary - getting rid of my debt deamons!

I really think the important part of any studying, but especially post-graduate studies, is making sure of the career pay-offs. Sounds like it's working for you - just think of how satisfied you'll be with your shiny masters! Oooh, fancy

Haha, yes it will be rather satisfying! What will be more satisfying though is getting a better paid role - now that would be fancy !!

Yesterday I had a tidy of the dining room, which is where I work when I work from home. It's so nice in here with no clutter and no paperwork anywhere, might even get more work done; tidy room, tidy mind (something along those lines??)
600 words a day is going good at the moment, seem to be getting into the rhythm and it doesn't feel like too much of a chore. Very different to my usual leave it all until the last minute approach.
(just for a giggle, I have just had to google how to spell rhythm as I couldn't get it right and it wouldn't auto correct! Haha I always thought I was good at spelling!!

Was very pleasantly surprised today, had telephone calls from 3 separate recruitment agents wanting to speak to me about new roles! 2 of them had roles which were interesting and are going to email me further details, the other one didn't have anything suitable but said that he was going to pass my details to a colleague (not holding hope out for that but you never know!).
Office day tomorrow, so need to get my lunch organised so that I have another NSD.
Also, I omitted some detail from my debts; I actually owe my family some money too which is just some bits they paid for recently and I need to pay them back. It's about £400 which means though that this January pay day I won't be making much more than minimum payments on my cards. So I will be off to a slow start on the card debt repayment but I will always prioritise family over my cards, after all they might have cc bills to pay themselves![STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

Just back from the office now, logged on to do a little more work work and then will move on to uni work. No words written last night so need to catch up.
Another call today from a recruitment consultant about another role. Unfortunately not right for me, and have also decided that the opportunities discussed yesterday are not right for me either. However 2 positive points are 1. I have noticed that more jobs are being posted now that we are over the festive period and 2. that my CV seems to be out there and people are finding it and are interested enough to want to talk to me!
Now is not quite the right time for me to change jobs anyway, I need to concentrate on my dissertation and the project is based on my organisation. The perfect time to look seriously will be in a couple of months.
NSD again today, so 9 in a row I think?? (although this does not include the food shop we did Sunday as that was out of our joint bills account). Still I am pleased with myself, as I brought my lunch to work and actually have supplies in the fridge which enable me to do this
Office day again tomorrow so another packed lunch for me :A[STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

Up to 1,859 words now, still working on the lit review part which is going to end up at about 6,000.
Yup trying to stay focused and on track, only thing I am letting slide is my eating and exercise habits. Really bad, will be making those a priority as soon as this is done![STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

Love how you prioritise family debts. You're so right in what you say about how they may need to make paymentsMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. So I forgot a debt off my total which is another CC, received the bill today, another £415. This must be prioritised after paying back family as I pay interest on it, the others are 0%.
Calculated that after payday on Monday if I pay off my family and CC1, and put my usual share into the joint account then I will be left with circa £15 for the whole month of Feb!!:eek::eek:
Plus I have 2 birthdays to buy for and a hair appointment booked (i might just have to cancel that one!)
So, this means drastic action -- - - - - drastic ebaying at the weekend! I have just sorted a (growing) pile of items to list. The aim isn't to have 'spending money' for myself, as I plan on having a LOT of NSDs, but the aim is to not have to put anything unexpected on a CC.
On the bright side, at least I will have 15 whole pounds on Monday, just for me :rotfl:[STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

Quiet weekend saving and not spending money! Bought flowers card and takeaway for mums bday. Plan was to cook, but had power cut for all sat evening so takeaway was plan b, more expensive than I had hoped. At least I made the cake in the afternoon whilst we still had power!
3 office days this week and will be taking my lunch to work. Sandwich already made for tomorrow!
Pay day tomorrow so will get rid of some debt!
18 items listed on eBay. 2 have bids. If all 18 only go for 99p alone I would be pleased with just that! Every penny at the moment is a bonus.
Busy week, so time to get some zzzzs now.[STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59
