Thank-you,have e-mailed him, will now wait, but I don't expect anything to happen,BT are utterly useless, they should not be running a telecoms service until they get staff who are knowledgeable and who care.I am almost at my wits end,and it has made me feel really ill.Kawasaki z750 Rider!0 -

I have paid a year up front for my line rental, they informed me I will lose all that money, and will have to pay £5:00 a month EVERY month by direct debit until August next year, even though I will not have a phone line for my 'call package',then next year I will have to pay them 6 months line rental,These people are unbelievable, they mess me about,do not provide me with any service, then charge me lots of money to cancel, make promises they do not keep,PLEASE TAKE ADVICE FROM ME,DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR BT YOU WILL REGRET IT AS I HAVE.My next step is to go to the ombudsman and make an official complaint.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
If you don't get that money back, google "credit card chargeback" - basically, ring the card issuer, tell them that the goods or services were not supplied and the supplier has not been able to/has no intention of rectifying the matter.
They'll send you a form to sign. Send that back, and they pop the money back in your account.
BT can dispute that at some later stage, but it gets you your cash back for now and leaves the right party having to work for the money.
You can cancel a direct debit mandate with the bank, however as other people have found, cancelled direct debit mandates have a habit of popping back up again as the payee can re-instate them. Should that happen contact your bank.0
