Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Tuesday 15th Feb. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well

:hello: Good Morning Everyone :hello:
Today I have work this morning, and this afternoon I am seeing the fertility specialist to discuss the PCOS (I know exactly how this is going to go... no help with the PCOS, they just want to get me into a study with Progesterone... which isn't going to happen)!
Anyway, yesterday went well and I have a new boiler! OMG a warm house!!!!!!
I am surprised at how well I did with my new eating considering I was home, and I was bored... yet I didn't eat tons, or get hungry really! We had Nutty Chicken Curry for Dinner last night (I had half a portion of Wholewheat Rice and Broccoli instead of White Rice) and was amazed when I got full before finishing it. I found it didn't go stodgy with the Rice and it was more enjoyable then ever before... and this was my favourite already!! :T
Tonight I am having Smoked Mackerel with Stir Fry Beans sprouts and 1/2 Wholewheat Pitta Bread (The boys are having fried potatoes, veg and Smoked Mackerel)
Now my blood sugar levels are not going everywhere both DS & DH have commented on the lack of mood swings and 'temper'
So all in all I am starting to feel really good about everything
Hope everyone has a great day xxx
Jx

Good morning Halight, Frey and all to follow,
Dark & damp here today. Did get a wash out on the line yesterday. It was cold but breezy and did a good dry.
Work for me today. I shall get a freezer surprise out for tonight.
Will put on DW before I go and have a little go at decluttering.
I think the houseguests will be leaving today, so I will start stripping the beds and getting that lot washed. Hope the weather is good tomorrow, although the forecast looks more line-fine for Thursday.
Bramble what a lovely person you are. I just read your post from last night. As an ASDs granny, I am very grateful for people with your outlook. Well done for being so proactive finding his dad. x
Hugs to all those who need or want them. Happy Tuesday, Silver xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Morning all
Hubby's been dropped at the station with his packup, fish have been fed, breakfast eaten & washing hung on the maiden.
I set the cat among the pigeons yesterday with my email complaint, let's see what happens next, I am definitely unpopular at the moment, lol.
I need to have a scrummage in the freezer for something for tea as I've no idea at the moment what we will eat.
I bought a set of Winnie the witch books yesterday for DFGD (Dear Foster Grand Daughter), I'm taking them to feed the ducks at half term, so I need to start saving stale bread.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Am off out tonight with friends for another birthday, am really looking forward to it - havn't caught up with them for a while. OH is cooking his and the kids dinner - will probably be eggs on toast.
Off now for another cuppa, have a great day.x0 -

Morning all.
3 little ones eating breakfast at the minute the youngest is full of cold was screaming all night in pain with earache. I hate earache as i cant make it go awayso me and her are going to snuggle in front of the disney channel all day i think cos her eyes are all swollen and shes sniffly. Might get some cleaning done inbetween but i have little motivation today though that could be due to not having any coffee yet.
Hope everyone has a nice day.
Hugs to all that need them/want themSometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait
