    Hiya

I take it you mean the reclaiming FOS ppi questionnaire, this replaced the template letter on this site, and save a copy of the completed copy in case your not happy with the final outcome, you can then send the copy to the FOS.
Good luck and you will find it here - stage one of reclaiming.

Thanks for that Di. You star.
  • I know it is a terrible thing to say and a little of target but looking on here it is awful these companies are permitted to trade "welcome" god a national disgrace from what I have read and seen the garages that offered these crooks the finance to their punters sold the punters the crap cars, for over the top prices, made them feel rather grateful for it and also made them sign on the premisis to get around the cooloing off period .
  • hi, i actually took the template letter and personalised it so that it did not seem as 'standard' as what they probably see every day. i also filled in the FOS questionnaire and sent this together with the letter template. I went back through my paperwork and included dates, times, name of person who dealt with me, values for each insurance etc. I felt that the more detail i presented up front, the less questions they could come back and ask (either to delay or because they did not have the information themselves!). Be sure to include account numbers too.

I then had to fill out the FSCS questionnaire/form that they sent due to welcome going into default. This was relatively straight forward but be sure to check that you do not contradict earlier statements on the letter and questionnaire, they will already have these and if your statements dont match i am sure they would pick this up.

Make sure you do your research on here, i must have read thousands of threads on here to make sure i knew what i was doing - measure twice cut once kind of thing

Di was also extremely helpful ;)
  • Slightly worrying conversation with welcome yesterday. Cancelled my direct debit Friday when i visited the bank as i like to tidy up cleared accounts etc. Had a call yesterday from local branch demanding to know why i cancelled my direct debit with a balance of £1500 still owing. I notified him that i had spoken with the complaints office last Tuesday and that my claim was upheld and my account had been cleared along with a refund of £850 being transferred into my account via BACS within 10 working days.

My local office then asked me to call the complaints office to check so i did. The young lady then asked her supervisor to come look and i could hear mumbling in the background. The man i spoke to the week before had read out the detail of a letter that had been generated but not posted. They basically raise the letter giving details of the settlement figures etc before it is signed off for the final time. The settlement was signed off yesterday so i could have potentially had my claim rejected!! I told the supervisor that this was appalling behaviour and i quoted the exact figures i was given to the penny - he said that the person i spoke to went against procedure and any result should be issued in writing.

I got home from work to find a letter from welcome thanking me for my application and that it would be investigated. This was dated last Thursday (two days after i spoke to the guy at welcome!!!).

I rang again and complained about this letter contradicting everything i had been told and the lady informed me that teh account had been settled that day. I checked my bank account and the money had been transferred that very same day. I suspect this only happened because i had every detail written down and i told them i recorded every call.... if i did not keep the details then i may not have received a penny.

I do not have confirmation that my welcome account is settled but i will assume for now that it is as they have paid me my refund. I will call friday to check!

    All - BE CAREFUL!!!
