I don't think the banks will learn a thing, except different ways to extortionate money from people. And the trouble is eventually they usually win out over the customer. Not so long ago there was a big fuss over unfair charges on overdrafts, banks were having to refund left right and centre simply to save face, then they got fed up, took it too court and won.

I fear the same thing with the PPI issue.

still no sign of the paperwork from the fscs which i requested 3 weeks ago. spoke with welcome last week and they said they were posting the application form out to me and it should be 3-4 days, that was 10 days ago.

anyone had the paperwork from the fscs yet? apparently i am on the priority list but it doesnt feel like!!

Chase them up.
I understand they have lots to send out, but I would ring them in office hours next week and ask, just in case its been mislaid in the post.

got woken up to a rather large bang this morning and on the mat was a very thick application pack from welcome/fscs! oh well my whining on here last night must have brought me luck haha

they have included a business post prepaid envelope.... should i use this or send it recorded mail just to be sure?

any ideas how long it could take from here now that i have completed the pack?

I have just got off the phone with Wlecome and my case has been upheld. They have credited £1500 to my account which now completely clears the balance (loan due to finish aug this year) and i will be refunded a further £850 via BACS transfer within 10 business days.

That was quick!! Congrats!!

I got my application form through yesterday, sending it back tommorrow so wish me luck! :T

thanks everyone, £300 a month will make a massive difference now. and the cash i get back basically clears my overdraft so already much better off! fair play to welcome, they were really helpful on the phone so i cant complain
