£15 Xmas Holiday Travelodge Sale

  • Despite our recent poor experience of Travelodge (see thread of 15/11) and no response to Email by customer service I have had my faith restored by the hotel 'manager'. He responded to a letter from me the day he received it and he has been effusive in his apologies, acknowledged their mistake, made no excuses about overbooking and confirmed that a room such as ours with children should NOT have been given away.

In this day of poor and very defensive customer service it is wonderfully refreshing.

Please all be assured that we have used Travelodge £10/£26 rooms successfully over the last year and will continue to do so, albeit more warily (and checking-in earlier !). I still have no sympathy with the overbooking situation or phoney airline analogy.
  • I remember taking advantage of the Travelodge £5 rooms... then it went up to £10 and now £15 - still a good bargain anyway

as ive said ive not come across it myself and ive stayed in various hotels, if it did happen i would have kicked up a fuss
well as a hotel receptionist for a different buget hotel chain i attended many cluster meetings. rest assured ive sent people packing to different hotels due to the hotel i worked at companies policy. If you are the one that kicks up a fuss then you stay and another guest goes depend who gets there first
