i dont see how you would feel it was demeaning, you are after all in/using the car anyway so whats the problem? people can see you getting in and out and walking away so whats the problem? its by far one of the easiest ways to detect fraud and make it easier for the genuine holders in the long run.

So, you'd be happy with everyone being able to see your picture / picture of the disabled person you travelled with, every time they walked past your car?

im not worried about people seeing husband getting in and out of car but i sure as hell would not like his photo displayed in the front of our vehicle.being disabled is one thing but showing your face because you are disabled is ano no in my book being treated like a child no thanks.and no it does not always detect fraud.

i cant see a problem to be honest, its hardly 10 ft tall in neon lights, any official could then easily see if the user matched the driver/passenger without the need to question anyone thus saving any embarassment.

And when in my post did I mention that it was relevant whether their disability was "visible" or not?

The fact that they are able to walk several hundred yards around a supermarket and load shopping into their car (as I have actually seen some of them do) is objective evidence as far as I am concerned of a level of capability at odds with requiring a blue badge.

A blue badge isn't just for whose who can't walk.

As it stands at the moment if you display your badge with the photo face up then it is invalid!!?? I accedently done this just as a traffic warden was passing and he told me to turn it over or he was within his right to ticket me!!

    Lol, very funny.

The irony of course is that many people believe this to be the case.

Brilliant. Someone with a sense of humour. Respect to those who don't abuse the system. I'm getting cynical in my old age.:D

if you look at my previous posts you will see that im suggesting they change the rules so that it is compulsory to show the pic.
