need to tidy the house today, work full time and DS has a few hobbies that mean I am also out at night so just keep things ok through the week.

I do a load of washing every day, and iron school uniform and any work stuff I need mid week the rest is ironed on a Sunday afternoon.

I need to clean the bathroom, as have only given it a quick flick over on Tuesday and it now looks a mess again. Kitchen, sitting room and dining room are not too bad but need dusted and floors hoovered and washed, cooker hob needs cleaned properly is brushed steel and is smeared as I just cleaned it with a cloth and didnt dry it off last night as was 7pm by the time I got home and couldn't be bothered.

WM is on and I also need to change both beds as couldn't be bothered last night, will tumble dry sheets/duvet covers and dry rest of washing on the radiators or airers as most things I need to wash cant go in the dryer typical

Am getting hair cut this afternoon so will do a small food shop at the first time as am running low on fresh stuff, couldnt be bothered to go out in the rain twice in one day

Not much flying done here, kids up, fed and changed. There now watching toy story 2.:D

Hubby not long up, there's a surprise. There will be words later but why i even bother i don't know.

Wm back on and dw just finished, gonna stick abit of breakkie on for myself and then get Rhys down for a snooze (might flipping join him). Fire cleaned out and lit aswell, it's so cold and dull here.:(
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

I can recommend having a supply of cards and a present drawer for these kind of occasions... Once you build up a stock you'll find you always have something appropriate whatever the occasion :) books of postcards are good for thank you letters, keep in touch type notes and more casual birthday cards.

I find Card Factory brilliant for this - they do 8-for-a-£1 ranges, some of which are really nice. Because I resent paying the heinous supermarket prices. They also have a range at 29p for various occasions which come in handy.

Anyway I'm up ansd showered; I've :eek:ed at the snow but it's melting now and I think my fly-neighbours will be fine;)

Stupid computer's synched my MP3 player - ALL my music's GONE - I just have the Saturdays on there now:rotfl:

Oooh flash of inspiration...they might be in Media Player...

Hi ladies hope you're all well, popping in to have a look at lists, as usual I've done all but my room :o we've been having regular visitor for about 2 weeks now (I can't say I'm over the moon about it but that's another story) so I've been keeping doing 15 mins pick everything up and put it away downstairs for a while now, which seems to work well. I can see a few things that need to be put away now but I'll do those after breakfast

Totally agree with greenbee re cards/small gifts box, being honest it's where any tombola prizes go (do a lot of fairs with the amount of charities/schools so always a couple of bottles and smelly things in there for gifts or donating to a tombola) cards I always have ones like wedding, new baby boy/girl, new home, good luck, thank you, male/female birthday in whenever I can. I need to order some after having a baby boom in the family, think I'll ask Crazychik off here to do some as I've had them before and they are very nice.

Boys are out with their social group gone for a skating rink/museum visit then to a Chinese for lunch so they'll love that. Study day for me, 3 weeks in and I'm already behind so best get cracking

    Ttfn ((hugs)) for all x
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Need to sort out car insurance for both cars this morning. DH has taken both girls to DD1's gymnastics so I can get on with it...so I suppose I best had.

Going to the climbing centre with DD1 and with my sis later today. Sis has just split this week with her OH so she's gutted but trying to keep busy.

Definately need to tackle the worst room of the house....my bedroom. There are far too many clothes on the floor at the moment (all clean though), and far too much ironing. I'll make a start today but we're in and from after lunch for the rest of the day so not sure how much will actually get done today, but I will clear the floor by the end of the day tomorrow!

    Have a good day everyone.

I've met her IRL! Our kids go to the same comp!

I MUST write my Grand Plan LIST for this week. I also need to clean the LR (I did the gerbils, so that's a start) and the stairs and my bedrrom. Dining room's looking good though!

nb the gerbils in the living room are mine, not the kids:rotfl:

  • Washed, dressed, WM on and :coffee: drunk.
Beginning to see 'lumpy bits' in the rain :(

I used to have spare cards (thinks "might still have one or two if I can remember where I put them":o)

OK, empty WM then apply butt to chair and get out books - so there should be two of us, lil_me :p

  • Hello Flyladies..

Feeling very poorly here. Went down with a bit of a cold which has now taken hold big time and am feeling rotten.

Flying has gone out the window and flown away.

Big Hugs to all.. be back when I am a bit more with it

Morning all - trying to pick up the bits of flying I couldn't do during the week - so the bathroom is next, all vacuuming done so that's good. Even better is the news that OH, having started a new job on Monday - first work for over a year, has been promoted and given an office on-site after 5 days! Blimey.
