Well worth the effort, really jaw droppingly stunning in places. I have been as far as Inverness (I think - an inland revenue office, somewhere c4 hours in a hire car North of Edinburgh, A9 IIRC - really very mellow and beautiful place) and I used to fly up once a fortnight for work to Edinburgh/Glasgow. Just a shame I have never been for positive, not work related, reasons. I am off to Dublin for the first time this week, looking forward to it (although it is for work and therefore potentially negative).
I need to do some ironing but at least it is just for me as everyone else is off.
Agree totally - have been as far as Inverness. Best mate from Uni used to live 10 miles out - next door neighbour half a mile away, bus stop 3 miles, Post Office 6 miles - and the scenery was stunning!
Not seen much of glasgow, but loved Edinburgh...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
I haven't been to either Glasgow or Edinburgh.. but I've been sailing on the Calendonian canal, & the lochs.. absolutely stunning! We saw a Golden EagleWhen people show you who they are, believe them the first time0

I love her books, good story teller, I will need to hunt them down again I think :T
If I was available I'd ask if you have a Jamie Fraser tucked away and be up there like a shot!
ETA This isn't everyone's cup of tea, but suits my mood perfectly at the moment. I wanted to go to see him next Sunday, but it's sold out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_AYAg9zPzc&feature=related0 -
Jamie Fraser num num. Am I allowed him AND OH?
Have a lovely time all those north of the border. I arrived in Paris. Its COLD. But just enjoyed a glass of wine on the Champs Elysses with my sister. Life is better.
Only problem is client with VAT problem needs solving before end of week so I've had to bring work with me. Ah well. The trials and tribulations of being self-employed.
Hugs and spoons to all who need them.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500
