If you are getting HD Humax recorder.

You will need 2 feeds from dish to Humax recorder
HDMI lead from Humax to TV
Scart lead from Humax to dvd recorder
Scart or HDMI lead from dvd recorder to TV

can I Hijack this thread, I've often read about needing "2" feeds from your dish to your humax box

I'm looking into getting a Humax Freesat box

I have got a dish with 4 leads, however I have 1 wire directed to the front room and 1 wire directed to the back room

could I spilt the cable via a Splitter to make "2" feeds rather running 2 cables into 1 room

One feed is required per channel. Just recable from the LNB to the PVR usng shotgun cable.
You can't record one channel and view another simultaneously without a twin feed.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
