I got a free 17 hide and chic eye concealer voucher with any 17 purchase, which is also 3 for 2 - so got 2 bits free there.

At the Boots on Tottenham Crt Road, up by Warren St, there is a lot of No 7 bits and bobs in the clearance section (next to make up, by the stairs) including mascara, lipsticks and eyeshadows for £5-7. There is also a few 17 foundations for less that £4 - hope this helps someone.

I just picked up some 16p bags on mini creme eggs from the clearance section to get me through the day :j
  • 3 for 2 on Men's Toiletries and No.7 combination

Today I bought 3 men’s toiletries expecting to get the 3 for 2 and also No.7 Muslin Cloths marked up as £6.13 in order to use a £5 No.7 voucher.

However at the till the Muslin Cloths went through as £2.81 and also linked in with the men’s toiletries so I paid for two men’s toiletries and then it took off the Muslin Cloths at £2.81 as the free third item. (The third men’s toiletry item went through further down receipt) Of course then the till would not accept the £5 No.7 voucher which was fair enough.

Anyway I went round again and this time got two No.7 Muslin Cloths and a men’s toiletry item priced up cheaper than £2.81. This time the till took the men’s toiletry item off as the cheapest third item and accepted the £5 No.7 voucher. So I paid 62p for three items. Felt like old times!

Hope that helps someone as I am thinking it may be a cheaper way to use the No.7 vouchers by combining with lower priced men’s toiletry items.

I can’t find the No.7 Muslin Cloths on boots website so maybe these are discontinued hence the lower price? If anyone finds any other No.7 accessories going cheap please post up.

Hiya, haven't been on for ages. Didn't want to torment myself with mega-bargains & glitches since im not allowed instore anymore.
Just wanted to update my situation as ive had a few pm's asking how things are going.
My first bail date was delayed from the first week of may and rebooked for tomorrow. I was told this was 'boots' being slow to gather evidence. I have just had a call from the police woman in charge of the investigation to say i dont need to go tomorrow- no further action is being taken.
I should be elated- but im not. I could cry

I've only just read up on this, but seriously, how terrible.

Quite frankly they should never have offered you a refund onto a giftcard without your receipt. Deliberately trapping and arresting you is downright spiteful.

Have you got your account back yet? Are you allowed back in store? And did you get your personal things back?

And did you get an apology from Boots once you showed them the receipt?

So thats it???? Boots realise they're in the wrong and just drop it??? What about the worry, stress and pressure you and yours have been under???

Its good news that they've finally dropped it, but.... who's paying your solicitors fees? Can you do anything? Sorry, I dont know much about these kind of things....

    ((((hugs))))

Yes i think after all you have been through. I would of wanted my day in court, as well. I would take your story to one of the womens glossy magazines. You deserve to be heard and you deserve an apology. I for one think it is awful what you have been through. I am sure all the Boots customers on here will agree. x x x x

I have had no correspondence from Boots whatsoever. The police have been in communication with them throughout. I asked the police woman on the phone if i was now allowed back in store and she said she didn't know and would check tomorrow. I then asked about having my things returned and she gave me the exact same reply.
I am getting the impression that they still suspect me but dont want to take things further officially??? My solicitor thinks it would be bad press for them that they dont want. IE- boots has loyal customer arrested and charged for taking avantage of its own policy'. I dont know what to think. I hardly slept last night and was expecting tonight to be even worse.

    Hi foxy-lady.
    Have boots lifted your 'ban?'
If you have a solicitor i would take them to court for damage to your health! Has your solicitor, if you have one, discussed anything like this with you?
I actually took derbyshire police to the small claims for a similar thing and got awarded damages.

They have to give you your possesions back! Dont let this go! I know it would be easy to after all the stress etc but you do have rights!
Try not to lose any more sleep over this, you DO have the law on your side, believe me:)
