Do You Have a Slow Cooker?
Apparently, yes.
She's been in the kitchen for the last hour and still can't say what time dinner will be ready.;)

hi mummyinthevalley,
a lone dissenter here, I hated mine with a vengeance & in the end gave it away ... to my ex husband, revenge is sweet
apart from soup, which was fine, to me everything tasted overcooked & smelled awful, like institution food
but most people love them, there's a lot of discussion over on the Old Style boards, I'll see if I can find a link for you
here are a couple to get you started ...

One thing you need to get used to is some recipies are better with very little/no added liquid.
looks like there is a second thread I missed.

I've found if you buy tough cheap beef and casserole it in the slow cooker, it comes out just as tender as more expensive cuts of beef :money:Here I go again on my own....0

Not a lone dissenter, i'll join you:) Not a fan, for the same reasons as you. Even hubby who is ex-military and will eat pretty much anything isn't a fan of stuff cooked in the SC.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
I have one, but I don't get much use out of it because I just can't/won't leave it on while I'm out. I'm just too paranoid so it only gets used on the occasional weekend that it can be on while I'm pottering about the house with the kids.0

No you aren't alone I always think the food tastes overdone - although our slow cooker is a cheapie - I know most people love them though.0
