You can no longer charge more for postage than Ebay allow,Ebay is eating itself I am afraid.

At least ebay doesn't cap international postage limits.

Amazon has set postage prices which hasn't changed in a good 5 years other than with the VAT decrease/increases, Play Trade you don't get any postage credits.

As a buyer it's good with the postage limits as sellers can't charge £3/£4 to send a bog-standard DCD anymore.

You can always select 'Freight' as the postage option, then add in bold at the bottom of your listing the postage costs and who you will send it by. After all, even a DVD is 'freight'.

As for jiffy bags, I get mine for free from freecycle. Just pop a wanted and then go collect.

I always include the cost of postage when considering how much I'm prepared to bid, so it doesn't really make a difference to me. The limits did work in my favour once when the seller asked if he could deliver an item because it was going to cost a lot more to post than he was able to charge!

Please don't advise people to blatantly break the rules like that. If someone does this and gets reported, then you get a policy strike against you. Too many and you lose your eBay account. Bad advice is bad.

While this is an option ebay gives sellers it means items appear bottom of any price ordered searches and places a listing at a big disadvantage but it is useful to know.
