Blissful, every court is treating this differently and we cannot argue with the courts unfortunatelyrolleyes.gif Hang on in there and keep in touch with them, you will get your money eventually.

  • Went to Belfast small claims court today against A&L. We had applied for a refund of £513 in charges and with interest this amounted to just over £550. Met with A&L's legal rep who offered us £490. Agreed this, as we didn't want the stress of going into court. :j

We went into the magistrate's chamber to let him know of the agreement and he confirmed with the solicitor that from this week he has put a stay on all subsequent claims against the banks until the beginning of February 2008. He then told us that we had got it sorted just in time. Needless to say this has made us delighted with the outcome!:T

I have submitted my MCOL and A & L have decided to defend. Will the recent Test Case have any effect on the proceedings? A & L still keep sending me various letters and they have made an offer recently which I have not accepted.

    Thank you:confused:

It depends purely on how your local court decided to play it. A&L are not one of the "major banks" involved in the test case, therefore a slighly grey area. Just proceed until/unless you're told otherwise.

  • I started a claim against the A+L in Mar 07 and after much two-ing and fro-ing am now having to appear in court which was supposed to take place in Northampton but has now moved to Manchester for Oct 4th 07

In the meantime, I am still incurring charges - can I reclaim these in court on the day on top of my original claim?

What info do I need to take with me to court?

Can I bring someone with me for moral support?

What chances do I have of getting to court in light of the OFT test case

What are my chances of even getting my money back - it the Alliance and Leicester?

I am desperate for this to be over now as the banks solicitors have been awful and my bank keeps slapping more and more charges on me - and i am now really scared.

Any help would be greatly appreciated x
