"Could anyone help, A & L are trying to get my claim struck out because my account is a join one with my wife however i didn't included her as a co-claimant. Can they do this?[/QUOTE]"
i was bit worried when i saw this, as my husband and i are claiming from A&L and we have both signed the letters (about to go down court route) . Should just one of us be claiming or is it right to put us both on the letters and on the court claim? does it matter? did you get any good advice, if so, can you pass it on to me please. thanks0 -

A&L will try anything ... however, I'm not sure about this one and think you need legal advice. I'd go onto the Consumer Action Group website and ask the question on the forum, where I'm sure you'll get an answer :

We've all screwed up at times (including me, twice so far:rolleyes:). Maybe drop a line to Wragge then just clarifying and to cover yourself.
I gave Lambeth court a call (very nice & helpful) and explained about my POC and she said it wouldn't be a bad idea or anything to do a more detailed POC and explain that I was restricted to the amount i could put in online and send it to the court to be included in the case paperwork.A&L - 1st letter requesting money sent 22/03

Just spoken to my local court to see when to expect a court date, they havent received all the paperwork from northampton yet, so no date as yet.
When asked what was happening with all the cases her reply was ' the judges are looking at the cases and requesting court allocation forms, but the banks are just paying up before the court dates'.
Lets hope that this is going to be the case for all of us awaiting the final stage.
Good luck to everyone.:money::j :j :j :j0 -

Have told OH, at worst we loose £200 on court cost's between 2 account's at best we win just over £2k,Experian credit score as of Feb 2016 - 116
[STRIKE]Final payment towards council tax arrears (was £417) Feb 2016
Final payment towards Vanquis Bank (CCJ - was £287) Feb 2016[/STRIKE]
NRAM (arrears £ )

Risk versus reward...
the general consensus seems to be 'theres no point in giving up now and that judgement may not mean a lot'
Lloyds are still settling with other people, so it hasn't even stopped them from paying out, why should it stop the other banks..A&L - 1st letter requesting money sent 22/03

Hi to you all. x
Well I recieved a letter from my local c.court dated the 15th may stating that Wragge and Co are defending. The letter was a 'Notice that Acknowledgement of Service Has Been Filed.'
Meanwhile A&L have taken out £50 unauthorised OD charges. Have just phoned them up to try and explain that I really havent got £50 at the moment to bring my account into credit. Lady said as a goodwill gesture she will replace one £25 charge but the other 25 still stands. It just gets better, I have an £8 DD coming out on monday so that is going to come back failed.
I am feeling so low at te moment, am due to have my baby by c section on the 14th June and am feeling soooo stressed by everything.
A&L sent me a cheque yesterday for £458 to resolve my claim but I feel this is so unfair as I am 'owed' £1,710 (actually its more now).
Does anyone know what I have to do now? I am not going to accept the cheque as I feel its not fair. Do I just wait until the court date arrives? Knowing my luck it will be within a couple of weeks of me having the baby.
I am oing to write to A&L and Wragge and Co and say that while I refuse to accept the cheque as a resolution of this matter I will however keep it safe anduse as part payment towards the overall amount. Has anyone done this? Did you cash the cheque and carry on with court proceedings for the rest? I must say the cheque is extremely encouraging at the moment! Could save a lot of financial bother with bills!
I heard about the Lloyds case and that has made me even more nervous! I am determined not to let the bank win this as it has gone on long enough and they are just dragging their heels. What makes it worse is the fact they they said in their 1st letter to us that the OFT only ment Credit card accounts and not current accounts, but in the letter i recieved yesteday they admit it was current accounts aswell!! They also say in their letter to me that if I accept their cheque then I can be assured that they will allow for my account to continue!!! Now to me that is a sort of blackmail???
Well thats my rant over! I do hope someone can help and advise me, please!0
