Hi Juicygirl
Hope you are resting well after your egg retrevial. How many did they get? I have been through IVF several times so know what you are going through at the minute. Good luck with the embies going back in, good idea to take a break. Enjoy the sun in the garden:)
Take care Lillyxx0 -
Hi Lilly,
They got 13 eggs, 11 which where suitable for injection ( we need ICSI). Of those 7 have fertilised. We will know more about grades etc tomorrow.
Dare I ask, did either of you Froggy or Lilly have any success?

Hi again all!
A short update from me:
Had my egg transfer on Monday so currently just resting up. Trying to keep my mind occupied though so I have been spending a lot of time on here reading diaries etc. Currently on page 17/81 of financialbliss' diary !! Any other diaries you would recommend??? Anyway that led me to investigating my gas/electric tariff and from my couch bed this morning I have swapped suppliers saving me approx £160 :T
Spending has also been zilch since Sunday but I might venture out for the first time to the supermarket in a while.
Mr juicy has been good too, he has made our dinners and prepared his packed lunches. Normally if I wasn't prepared to do it he'd just say he'd buy something but he knows not to annoy me right now!
Thanks again for reading and for all your good wishes xxx0 -

Hi again,
AN update on a couple of fronts:
1. THE IVF WORKED- I am currently pregnant with baby no 1 :j :j :j . Obviously it's very early days so trying not to get too excited but it's hard not to!
2. I made my second overpayment today - another £250 :T
I now have to reassess all my options with the pregnancy in mind. Positives to overpaying:
- it will help us when interest rates inevitably go up, we will be used to paying more
- it might put us in a better position when we remortgage when our fixed rate is up next June ( when baby is due ( hopefully))
- my income will reduce greatly come next May for the forseeable future and overpaying then will be unrealistic for a while at least I think)
Negatives:
- we could really do with getting some substantial savings behind us for my maternity leave/ baby expenses/ time of reduced income.
Hmmm, lots to think about. Thoughts welcome!
In the meantime I have been
- doing my surveys
- preparing for Christmas inc homemade gifts
- bulk buying at Costco
- keeping my spending to a minimum.
Thanks for reading!0 -

Hi,
Another quick update. Called today to cancel a magazine subscription I have and asked hubby to to the same ( he pays for another magazine subsription for me for my Christmas). That should save us approx £50 a year. Not much but every little helps.
I kept a spending diary for the first time last month and what a shock!!! On food/household items ( cleaning products etc) for the two of us, we managed to spend a grand total of ..............wait for it............. £396.84!!!!!!! I think this was probably a particulary high month and can be partly attributed to starting to bulk buy in Costco, but still!!!! I am going to montitor this over the next few months and see what i can do to cut it right back!
What do others spend for a 2 adult household?0
