  • Hey juicygirl
really like the title of your diary! :)
Sorry to hear of the troubles going on over the last 6 months or so , fingers crossed for the IVF I can only imagine its a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for you at the moment with it all..
Small steps and being more mindful and aware of spending is I think how it is done with a large mortgage when youre in it for the long haul ... and sounds like the reminder from your FA will have you back on the MF wagon in no time! ;)

    Hey,

Thanks for reading, nice to not be talking to myself! Thank you for your good wishes and didabuf- thank you for sharing, I needed that :).

So today has mostly be spent spreadsheeting our finances and working out where it all goes. I didn't realise we ate out so much! That has lead me to think about meal planning more, used to post on the meal plans thread on the OS board so must get into that again. Otherwise just been pottering in the garden and made some soup for work lunches this week, must keep mr juicy out of the sandwich shop next to his work!

Realistically I think any op's we make at the moment will be small- we would really like to get away during the two week wait to find out if the IVF has worked, and if it doesn't then I am expecting to have to save again for another round. But even small op's are better than nothing, right?
  • Good luck on your IVF and also on your MFW journey :).
  • Hi Juicygirl, i just wanted to post and wish you luck with the IVF, it is a very emotional journey, a member of my family has been through it twice and it is really hard. Make sure you take good care of yourself.

So a slow week so far, the IVF has cleared us out this month so just trying to keep the expenditure to a minimum and get into the MF frame of mind. A few things achieved:

    - sold first few items on eBay, £50 profit, this should cover gift and spends for a wedding reception we have next weekend
    - listed a few more items
    - joined and started doing one poll surveys
    - meal planning - used to do this but got out of the way of it recently, already organised with packed lunches for work
    - bagged up loose change to take to the bank
    - used £7 m & s vouchers from credit card to buy whoopsies :)

    12 days til payday!

    Hi Juicygirl
I just wanted to wish you the very best of luck with your IVF. My friend has had two cycles which have resulted in two lovely little ones :) so fingers crossed.

I have subscribed to your thread as we are similar in age (I'm a little bit older :o) and we have a very similar mortgage amount .
Will be following your progress. Good luck.

Thanks bedhair! I really need the positive stories right now, the closer Monday gets the sicker I feel!

And it's good to know I have a subscriber, that should keep my motivation up! Do you have a diary?
