What problem are you having - send, receive, or both? Any specific error message?0 -
both - doesn't seem to want to recongise my user name... and there webmail is driving me nuts as well, sorry i left plusnet now...The futures bright the future is Ginger0

Do you have to put the entire email address as your user name, rather than just the bit before the @ perhaps?0
-
Tried that as well. On plus it used a different inbound address to my home pc wondering if orange has the same for plus it's imap.plus.netThe futures bright the future is Ginger0

Hi gingerdad
Details on how to set up your Orange Home email address on an iPhone can be found here
http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/personal/487595#Orange_Home
Although this information is aimed at customers using an iPhone on the Orange network, the details on setting up your incoming email server should be the same. If you are unable to send email after following the above steps, you may need to use O2's SMTP server details.
I hope this helps.

orange is worse than a complete joke. I ordered (online) a package -mobile broadband- but cancelled it a day or two later (in writing by email and by phone and **have a copy of their agreed cancellation**) around 30Nov-2nd Dec **last year**!!!
Despite this, they sent something (which was *not* signed for) which was then returned to them. Then they said I returned the wrong dongle (I never signed for anything and had cancelled the package anyway) and they re-sent it (i'm not joking!!!!!!) It was **resent** to them!!!!!
Then they **unlawfully** tried to direct debit my account (**D.D bounced**-had trouble with bank) and they **still** send letters **demanding** money and say that I have a broadband package with them.
They claim my mobile broadband number is 07975965695.
So do I go to the police?!!
Is there someone else using this number pretending to be me?
Perhaps the orange rep. would like to look ino this matter before I go to the police to find out waht on earth is going on. By the way, I have kept all emails sent to orange telling them I'm not a cutomer etc....and can provide them to MSE.
As I had formally cancelled the package within the 7 day timelimit from ordering, I have never actually been a customer. (I even did not challenge the original 4.99 delivery charge, even though I cancelled many days before the unsigned for dongle was put through letter box and the orange person said she was cancelling the delivery and that I was not to sign for anything.) I do not owe them any money. I will keep telling others to boycott orange as this experience has been traumatic.
Cheers

Hi boycottorange
Rather than contacting the Police, I would advise to contact our Channel Returns Team to discuss this further. They can be reached by calling [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-1]0800 079 0103 and are open between 09:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday.
If you are unhappy with the response you receive, you should request to escalate your complaint. Details of our Escalation Procedure can be found in our Code of Practice, available from our website here http://www1.orange.co.uk/documents/about/Orange-complaints-code-20110118.pdf .
I would also advise to edit your post to remove the account number and mobile number. Even if this is for a dongle which you have returned to us, it might not be a good idea to post this information in a public forum.
I hope this helps.

I'm still trying to sort this. you have to have the worst interfaces i've ever dealt with. your website is horrible to navigate.
all i want to be able to do is
send/get email via my iPhone which is on o2
send/get email on my daughters iPod touch
send/get email at work via webmail - but it to show as ****@mydomain.org.uk and not ****@******.orangehome.co.uk
for my wife & daughters email just to work and not keep getting errors, followed all the stuff on your website, tried to speak to your awful customer service who seem to struggle with the basic english.
simple, have used plus.net/madasfish/wanadoo/virgin in the past all with out any issues .
that combined with the fact discounts promised not yet appeared, had to chase to sort rest of switch of phone number.
I now hate orange with a passion, sadly signed an 18month contract so will have to try to sort issues myself, but after 18 months i'm off. and making sure everyone know how !!!! your service is.
Plus net - i'm sorry i left.The futures bright the future is Ginger0 -
