Just shows you are better off showing round buyers yourself as no one knows the property and its plus points better than the owners.

What are you pet peeves in EA descriptions?

Mine are "cosy" and "surprisingly spacious" - both of which mean tiny and cramped :D

"Bijou" - means the same :D

Those EAs actually shaped up surprisingly well with a bit of proper sales training - maybe there is hope for the industry after all?

I've just watched the program, and can agree about the viewings but it's everything else that pees me off - none of which was mentioned. So what are your gripes?

    - EAs pushing other financial products, and trying to find out your maximum budget
    - never returning phone calls
    - trying to sell something you just do not want, and have told them so

Personally I don't mind the stupid descriptions, I just ignore them and have a chuckle. Oh, and I don't know what a "prestigious turning" is? I don't mind not pointing out the downsides, I can find them myself.

  • Brilliant. Spiky hair fancies himself as a bit of a footballer as well. I think he wrote this himself. :rotfl:

Looks like me on a bad hair day!!!!!!!!!
    Never Knowingly Understood.

    3-6 month EF £0/£3600 (that's 0 days worth)

  • Poor Philip if I were viewing a house I would remember his hair more than the property.

I agree with earlier post theres more to estate agents than the viewings and not every seller uses the estate agents accompanied viewer.

Surely getting the property on the market at a realistic price in the first place makes it easier to sell the house.

Thought there might be a thread going about this... I saw it too :D

At least he's memorable with that hair. I'm rubbish with faces. Everyone looks the same to me. Got the two sarnie shop girls mixed up yesterday as they both had black bandana things on their heads. Looked like twins. Made myself look like a right idiot when I thought she was putting someone's order on top of mine. The shame. I'd much rather someone be instantly recognisable!

They were pretty damn good with some pointers in the right direction. I prefer conducting viewings myself too, but if I knew the EA was going to have all that info and actually take an interest in the house and appear to love it, I'd rather them do the viewings.
