HMV - What are they like for deliveries/pre-orders

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Does anybody know if HMV send out games and dvds so you get them on the day of release? Are they fast at sending stuff out?

I ordered lego 2 psp pre ordered on the 3/11,released the 10/11,got it today 13/11......not bad at all......also my other items came after about 3 days too....:T

I ordered 3 dvds a week ago, 2 of them arrived today - dunno when the next one will arrive however.

But at 12.75 for 3 I can't really complain.

I pre-ordered The Chronicles of Narnia last year and it arrived the day of release, don't know if it will be the same now though.

I ordered a cd and a dvd last week, cd came next day, dvd is due out on 27th so I will know after then.

Brilliant - I've never had any queries or problems with HMV and they are excellent for pre-orders. Just had the new Keane USB delivered perfectly and on time.

I can't fault them. I have not had any problems, everything done like clockwork and orders received very promptly.

I cant fault them for a delivery on DVDs I have just ordered..they came within a few days. However before I ordered the DVDs I ordered a nintendo game which hasnt arrived as yet....not had any word from them telling me why there is a delay.

Thanks for the responses. I had a game pre-ordered at HMV which comes out on Friday but have decided to cancel it now and bought it elsewhere as another store has it in stock now and is already sending them out. I don't want to risk having to wait for HMV as I need the game for Friday.

Ordered a Jimmy Carr dvd set a few weeks ago - date of release was 13th Nov (I think) it was despatched thu/fri last week and it arrived today.

Christmas presents finished - I hope.
