  • Does she like costume jewelrey? i noticed new look had some of theirs 1/2 price last week. I would love a gift of a pamper session or something like that or maybe a promise to take her on a day trip somewhere. just for instance Bath has just opened a new spa and im sure i read somewhere that its £19 for a 2 hour session (might be wrong) but you could combine this together.

What was her favourite film when she was young perhaps you could get it for her on DVD or maybe the first ever record she bought.

I know you said you thought homemade gifts were not for your wife but how about a promises jar....... I promise to do the dishes, bring you breakfast in bed, cut the lawn in the summer.

Failing that how about trying to get some samples of purfume and things from the high street shops.

photo frames (T K Maxx do some nice ones) Handbag, new purse, belt, underwear, funny socks.

Thats all i can think of at the mo, i hope it helps

What about something dead romantic like a champagne trip on London Eye or maybe some theatre tickets? One of my fave pressies was a money for a fitting and new bra from Rigby & Peller in London

I always prefer money or vouchers so I can spend them in the sales and get loads more! (That and the fact my husband always gets me presents that I have to tactfully take back to the shops!)

  • I would say if your wife is used to getting luxury items from you, to continue to give luxury items, but less of them.

Such as a wonderful necklace or her favourite type of jewellery from Tiffanys, get a branded gift that will feel luxury, you have the budget for it.

One amazing item will feel much nicer than a mixture of cheap things she could buy for herself.

I have to say something about the Lush recommendations.... NO NO NO!

I get a headache just walking past their shops as the smell is just so strong (stinky). I would be a little disappointed if my husband got me a set from their, esp if he had £100 to spend (but I suppose this is just my opinion!!).

If my husband were to get me some pampering bits, I would like some luxury nighties and slippers (M&S Per Una/John Lewis/La Senza?), some Clarins bubble bath and body lotion, plus some luxury choccies.

    Hope this helps!
