Lovely striped mugs 10p in Tesco - were £3.50 for 2

Just picked up a few mugs in Tesco for 10p each. They had loads available - just under the hanging mug thing.

They are called 'Sailor Stripe Mug' and come in 3 colours - blue, pink and natural, although that doesn't really describe them very well as they have other colours on them too. They are the wide, slightly curved shape. They are a modern/contemporary style.

Edit: here's a photo of the two colour-ways I bought:

The left one is described as 'pink' and the other one as 'blue'

Also the vertical stripe mugs were 10p - these are the narrow classic mug shape - various colours.

The mugs have a sticker on saying 2 for £3.50. The correct (10p) price was showing on the shelf-edge, but I checked at the self-scanner before buying and they scanned correctly at 10p - so quite a bargain.

I got some of these around Xmas for around 50p each and made crimbo presents out of them, they are lovely quality . Great price!

Thanks OP. In my store they had the red ones (like you've posted) and some brown ones. The red ones were the only ones that scanned at 10p for me. Got a set of 4 - great for my new house. Thanks!

I looked in my local Tesco yesterday while getting dog food (3 for 2 offer) but didnt have any cheap mugs in.

They still have these in Preston Capitol Centre store. They also have a different type..red vertical stripe for 10p and another one at 25p. Just bought 6 :j

Aww shame, there was none of these in my Tesco's today, not even a gap where they would have been. I could do with some new mugs too!

My local had 4 brown/natural, and 4 red. There was no price on shelf, and they still had the 2 for £3 sticker on them. I bought the brown ones, and the c/o assistant was most impressed by the bargain. I'll check again tomorrow, I might be able to replace all my old ones for only £1.20!
