How much is 500mb on Blackberry?

No, 500mb won't be enough for a month.
It will be plenty providing you have the Blackberry add on. I have used Blackberrys for about 3 years and currently have a Blackberry Torch set up for push email and last month I used, according to my last bill, 28,391KB, which having used a converter is 0.02773 mb. However my calculations may be wrong!!
I have never gone over my data limit. This includes browsing, emails and downloading attachments, talking on BBM and downloading apps.0 -
28,391KB equates to 28MB.
500mb is MORE than enough. I've have also used Blackberry's for years and I've never got anywhere near that either, and I do a fair bit online.. emails all day, browsing, FB, twitter, youtube.. etcThis thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0 -

I spend 2 days per week in hospital, and I'm there for at least 5 hours on every visit.
As you can no doubt imagine, that is a long time when sat there with nothing to do other than watch the drip doing it's thing - so I take a laptop and use that in conjunction with my mobile for net access.
I spend pretty much the whole "day" on the net dealing with e-mails and general browsing, and my average daily bandwidth consumption is around 17MB (give or take a MB or two). That figure could get slightly lower if I disable automatic updating of my antivirus, but it isn't a concern at the moment with that small amount of usage.
Based on my real life experience and the amount of time you say you will use it, I'd say that 500 MB will be more than enough for the month.
You can log in to your account on the O2 website and check your bandwidth usage at any time you like, so you can see at a glance if you are getting close to your allowance and make whatever changes you deem necessary (such as upgrade to 1 GB) there and then.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
Thanks KillerWatt - just what I wanted to hear as I don't really want to spend anymore than I am, I am sure that 02 will txt you aswell when you are near your total usage aswell.0

I've never got anywhere near the limit so I don't know if you get a warning text or not, however you do get a text the very second you exceed your limit and told how much any further access will cost you after that point up until your anniversary day - so if you do inadvertently go over you won't be getting any nasty surprises.
PS
Just checked the old lady's account as she doesn't have the benefit of an internet add-on (she doesn't need it as she uses the wi-fi at home), she gets charged £1 per day once she exceeds the allowance that is included with her calling plan.
O2 say that the £1 daily charge is fixed no matter how much she downloads after that, but they do put a 100 MB cap on it to stop people taking the p**s.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
i have been on a plan with 500 mins unlimited txt and 500mb of data for over a year - i only browse on the internet and i am logged in facebook all the time and go it loads every day - i have never even gone over 200mb as i can check my usage online as i with tesco and have an online account.0
