I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Julie, I loved Tainted Love too - also at the Rugby Club but not with the captain of the football team - just my first love!!! How could you not know he was gay?!
Forgot to say Taplady and Bitsy i went to a tap class last night and thoroughly enjoyed it, nice and fast. The last one I went to was a bit slow and kept going back to the very basics. Will probably go again - good exercise too.
Been to the supermarket to stock up for visitors and bought some wine. Unfortunately i have had to test it as a few of you were having a party. Oh well!!
Take care, XX0 -
Evening all
Wow lots of music on here today! I haven't clicked through as not had time but I'm guessing from your words that some of it might be from before my time!:rotfl:
Busy day at work, got nothing done with the kids that I'd planned but we had fun! They were only in half day as I had uni at 2pm, but just after they left one of my uni friends text me to say that she's forgotten to tell me that we didn't need to be in uni til 4.30! So I skived off work for couple of hours. I've been feeling dizzy today so deserved popping home for a rest.
Uni was so much fun! We did work on classroom management and how students work in groups (very much similar to what I do with my work kids). Then we were set a task in groups to build a bridge out of newspaper and sticky tape that could hold a 2litre bottle of lemonade and was a foot tall! It was boys V girls......and the girls kicked @ss!!! :rotfl: It's a task I actually do with my young people so I took a step back and didn't give the game away. We had a very pretty looking bridge with lots of pictures and flowers on it!
Tomorrow I have my first observed teaching by the uni so I'll either beor
tomorrow night. I'm doing menu planning for our residential with the work kids, and I've bribed them with creme eggs to behave :rotfl: . Keep your finger's crossed for me please!
Have a good evening all

You aged yourself there Julie
I loved the Bay City Rollers as a wee thing. Marc Almond:eek: that's seriously worrying.
Been in touch with Lou, she's still being sick, and has a headache, poor thing. But the good news is that Ethan's Godmother is keeping him overnight, so at least she'll get a break tonight.
Flutterby, I was going to wish you luck but you blew it by showing off your youth!
