Vodafone also has the most customers too.

Would be nice to see a %age of digruntled customers per network but that would be commercially sensative and no network will release it.

Remember also people generally only speak out if the have a bad time not if they get great service.

Vodafone does not have the most customers.

Everything Everywhere i.e Tmobile/Orange is the largest provider in the UK. O2 are also larger than vodafone in the UK

gjchester may be right if you look at this ....

I don't want to. You are making assumptions about my mobile usage which are wide of the mark.

No I was simply saying you can't tether. You made the assumption.

You state you want to talk to someone that can understand you, with the numbers below you can see why you are almost guaranteed to get to a call centre if you phone up.

Hve you tried going into a vodafone store?

Subscriber numbers from Annual reports, bear in mind these are worldwide, they don't seperate them out per country as its probably classed as comercially sensative.

    Vodafone (2009) 341 Million
    Telephonica (2009) 265 Million
    Orange (2009) 192 million
    T-Mobile (2009) 151 Million

For Orange and Tmobile in the UK is NOT just a case of adding the TM and Orange numbers as only the UK arms merged, but even if they did they only just pass Vodafone on 343 million.

I had a nightmare cancelling a dongle in its 7 day cool off period, tried numerous times to call through and when being transfered got disconnected.

Was only a rolling contract so thought fine ill just pay the first bill and deal with it.

A couple of days later I got an invoice for the delivery for the dongle, was only £2.49 but thought they must be having a laugh.

Rang a lovely woman in CS and explained everything, there were several notes from the CS I spoke to before the dreaded transfer stating why I was calling, she cancelled the dongle and debitted me back £20.

So I got a free dongle and £2.50 for my troubles hah
  • hi not sure about a dongle but i tried to cancel my account with them tonight. i did it via the online chat facility. a lot of this and that but basically i was told not to apply a cancellation date to the account but to request a PAC code to allow me to take the number then the account would automatically end the date this PAC code is applied to the new account. was easy to do just a bit of mis communication due to the differences in written english and my poor technical understanding :) not sure about the dongle side though

    Many thanks Heidi,

I have finally successfully contacted Vodafone by e-mail regarding the cancellation of my dongle contract.

However the issue of speaking to a human re getting the best contract for me remains outstanding. I can do this by IM if necessary, but don't have the time to bounce e-mails back and forth until I get the right offering. Can you please suggest a number for this?
