Meeting someone the O/S way!

Hi
If you like the outdoors and don't mind getting your hands dirty then you could try the National Trust Conservation Volunteers. I'm sure there is a group in Guildford, I think there is a link on their website. Usually they have a programme of tasks which either take place locally on a Sunday or sometimes a weekend away at an NT site further afield. No experience is necessary just lots of enthusiasm. Also you do not need expensive clothing as everyone wears old clothes they don't mind getting dirty. You do not need to attend all tasks, just pick the ones that appeal to you There is also a programme of informal social activites which is good for meeting people.
It is worth a look as I know many couples who have met through volunteering, it is how I met my OH.
Good Luck

Get a dog! Or offer to walk other peoples. I met my OH when he was walking his dog and I stopped to stroke her. We got talking and that was that. Have been married 27 years now!
I do sometimes walk my Mums dog, she is a Springer Spaniel though and manic - she looks abit scary to others that don't know her I think.
I personally couldn't have a dog as I live alone in a flat and work long hours. Good idea though thank youLydia

Hello from another 28 year old single woman
Is there anything in your life that you're really passionate about? Art, sport, theatre, music, a particular charity or cause, cookery, animals... Because that'll be the place to start if you're looking for somebody you've got something in common with
As it happens, I'm "happily single and not looking" but within my main interest area (the London classical music scene) I am certainly not short of opportunity or offers...Operation Get in Shape
