I met my intended by talking to him on a message board of a singer we both like. Me met about 6 months later and now we are planning our wedding. I'm 36 so you have a while to go yet ;)

    You could try:

but watch out for the creepy guy from Suffolk who is apparantly still on there

I was thinking of doing the Great Wall of China trek for Cancer Research but I wouldn't have a clue how to raise 3k for it.

I am also trying to become an active member of Greenpeace but they seem to have so many people trying to become members I never hear anything from them.

Thank you for the ideas - just fed up of being lonely...........

We did the Great wall trek the year after we met...I fell off it & chipped a bone in my ankle on teh 2nd day,but that's another story:rotfl: I still managed to complete the trek, very slowly & with a lot of pushing & pulling! Teh fundraising was harder the 2nd year because we were both trying to raise money for the 2nd year running having hit all of our contacts the previous year plus now a lot of our contacts were both our contacts & we could only hit them once rather than once each IYSWIM? We still did it though. You'd be suprised how much money you can raise with a raffle, a quiz night, a supermarket bag pack, getting people to donate their rubbish for you to sell at car boot sales & out right "sponsorship". You should get a lot of support from the orginisation you do the trek through too with ideas, fund raising packs etc.
Apart from meeting each other we made some fantastic freinds who we love dearly now. Also doing something like this gives you a huge sense of acheivemnet & a massive confidence boost, that alone will make you irristiably attractive when you come back & you'll find yourself fighting men off whilst you ride the wave! Honestly!!

I live in Suffolk too. I think he's from Felixstowe or somewhere near that area. He has contacted and dated quite a lot of women on that site. As soon as you get chatting to him he expects a commitment from you and if you decide he isnt for you afterall he starts sending hate mail. I chatted to him for a while but decided he wasn't my type afterall and he started sending me nasty emails saying I'd promised all sorts to him which I hadn't.

Get a dog! Or offer to walk other peoples. I met my OH when he was walking his dog and I stopped to stroke her. We got talking and that was that. Have been married 27 years now!

I meet loads of people when walking my dog and have had single friends borrow him.
