    the error box came up but there was no button for details! i went into the technical info box but it might as well have been in russian.
    what now?

    I would now run an sfc /scannow http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html just scroll down to the orange text that says How to use scannow sfc...

    Its really quite simple :)

    Click Start, then Run, then type in sfc /scanow and click OK.

    Have your Windows XP CD ready in case it prompts you for it.

  • did as advised (eventually) then tried again on my daughters and the same thing happened. only seems to be on her user account though?
    wont even open her homepage (ceebeebies)
