Yes she's in labour, you get to 10cm then you push! She'll be there till she has the baby.

She did well to get to 5cm before going into hospital.

    Congrats btw :j
    My thoughts exactly ^
Let us know how things go.

    Congratulations!

Thank you all so much!! I'm so very happy to tell you my daughter had a little boy, 7lb 4 oz afew minutes after midnight!!!!! Mummy and baby fine, thank God.

I can't believe how quick it was for her. She'd had little niggles all day (but hadn't told me) then the pains intensified about 8pm. Went to hospital where they became quite strong. Waters broke at 1130pm and baby born just after midnight.

No drugs, not even gas and air, and no stitches either. My daughter and her partner are on cloud nine and I just want to shout it from the rooftops!!!!!!

Can't go in to meet baby till this afternoon but I'm just soooooo happy it all went so well.

Thanks to you lovely people for the words of encouragement.

When i had my last i was 3 1/2cm when i got to hospital but they don't count you in active labour until your 4cms. They kept me in because it was my fourth so thought i would go quicker.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

At 5cm she is half way there till the pushing stage. Definately in labour. You are going to be a grandparent anytime now. How exciting. Congratulations :)
