M&S clueless when it comes to bra fittings?

OMG just how bad have M&S become with their fittings?! They seem utterly clueless with anything outside of an AA-B cup.
I always get my fittings at as many places as possible but M&S are getting worse and worse. They measure WAY TOO LARGE on the back. if ur wearing a 32 they'll tell u ur a 34 even if 32 is already slightly loose.
Went to Bravissimo and measured a 30E, M&S & La Senza said 34C.
I've also heard M&S wont measure u a size that they don't sell as they obviously cant get u to buy anything?!
Anyone else noticed this with M&S?!

Indeed they are!
Was mentioned by several MSErs on a previous thread of mine:

Apologies if this gets posted twice...just typed a reply and it went into the ether! I gave up on M&S too. Bravissimo seem to be pretty well rated for their measurements. I found the Figleaves fitting page really helpful. I used that then went to M&S and brought the size bra that matched the fitting site, which was different from what M&S had told me. As soon as I put it on I could tell how much better it fitted, and within a few days of wearing it, the back pain I'd had for ages virtually disappeared0

Your 2nd para implies you're under a 32 so it looks like all M&S AND La Senza are clueless at bra fitting.0 -

When bra fitters fit you, they are trying to sell you bras.
ETA: You can't use measurements (i.e. from a fitting page) to figure out your bra size because women's boobs are shaped differently. You have to try the bra on.0 -
When I went for a bra fitting at M&S they didn't tell me a size, but instead gave me a variety to try on until I found one that fit. They refused to tell me my actual bra size, which I wanted to know in order to make bra shopping easier in the future, and insisted on just giving me things to try on. Didn't buy anything, and would never go back.2011 Wins : Models own makeup product, Photoplusx4 software:j Mens hair dye :rotfl:0

Luckily for me i'm a bog standard size in most shops, but my sister is bigger busted, she went to House of Fraser to get measured and the women told her she was a 34, wouldn't tell her a cup size just that she was 34!?0

I went to M&S as I'd heard they were good at fitting. I didn't think I was wearing the right size and wanted advice.
Noooooo. for a start she decided I was 3 cups sizes larger than I wear - no way, tried it on, big gaps and baggy bits, but she still insisted that was right.
Then she also adjusted it so that my boobs were heading far south (I am on the larger side and as I'm getting older, well, there they go). Right I said, I was hoping for something with a bit more support...give me a better shape? No, she said firmly, this is a nice, natural, shape. lol, if we wanted our natural shape we wouldn't wear bras at all!Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.
Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0
