  • We had it tonight for dinner and was yummy. There were no scallops left so for starter got Cherry Tomato & Ducey Camembert Tartlets (very glad did as were lovely). Then sirlion steak with peppers and gastropub chips and then millionare shortcake pots. Washed down with petit chablis anf chocs. Well worth £20 quid. (well £17 actually as mum gave me a £3 voucher for marks :j)
    Yearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.
  • yummy! sounds like you had a lovely night! Ive got my eye on the scallops for starter too, Im nipping in in between school run and work, so should be there when in opens tomorrow to get what I want - do you recommend the wine? Ive got my eye on that one too, or the pinot grigio - and the peppercorn rump steak with chips and the melting middle choccy pudd x
  • Wine was lovely. I really like chablis though is my favourite.

Holiday Haggler I've been Money Tipped!
Looking forward to this tomorrow. Not much of a selection by the time we got there. Decided to use the antipasta selection of cold meats as fillings for lunch so be only having two courses tomorrow. Steak and melting chocolate puds. Yummy!

  • We thought the M&S £20 deal was great; so great in fact we've already scoffed our Valentines Dinner a day early and enjoyed a lovely long lunch today.........added up our whole bill would have been over £30 but we got a tenner discount with deal....had the salmon mousses, steaks, yummy creamy mash, chocolate melting puds and chocs and bubbly rose.....

now lying quietly on the sofa to recover ha ha
  • Have mine to look forward to ... Scallops Duck and Raspberry pannacotta. Garlic mush as the side which I will freeze. BTW not all restaurants are fleecing you for valentines. We had starter Scallops, champagne sorbet luxury fish pie coffee and and hand made choc for £30 ... It was cheaper than their usual menu. And full. Happy Valentines

BTW anyone can access the menu on their phone from M and S free msg. So no need to argue about posting! Sure everyone posts in good faith
  • Have just been in and got the 4 mini dressed crab for starter, the rump steak with peppercorn, brandy and madeira sauce, gourmet chips, melting middle chocolate puddings, chocs and rose bubbly, saving £11.95. The steak looks fabulous, have had it before (on special occasions) and always lovely, the crabs look great.

Everyone was buying it, couple of people said they were buying extra to freeze, I had £4 of M&S vouchers too, which made it even better for me!

Can't wait, hope hubby gets back from work early or DD and DS will need holding back with cattle prod!!

I wish we'd gone for the steak, it looked lovely but my hubby chose the chicken - which was really NOT nice at all, we had it last night. Firstly, way too much cheese - I'm not a great fan of cheese with chicken - but also the chicken had a really weird texture. Yuk. Feel a bit let down as we were really looking forward to the meal!! That said, I couldn't fault the breaded camembert, chunky chips or souffle, they were yummy!!

    Hi All

Just wanted to share a meal deal for those of us in the North. I have bought a couple, just because it is better value than some of the others and the products in the deal taste great.

It's at Booths supermarkets, for those who don't know they are based in Lancs, Yorks and Cumbria with one store in Knutsford too. They are dubbed the Waitrose of the North but I think Booths is better! Certainly cheaper!

Anyway the deal is on Booths website, (google Booths supermarkets I can't post the link) its 4 courses and a bottle of wine for £15 (you get 2 side dishes - you only get 1 in M&S).

    Hope you enjoy!

We bought one of these too. Having it tonight.
