Dry Shampoo?? Any good

Hi

I have heard about this stuff and just wondering what people thought about it or if there was a specific one i should try??

I have very fine shoulder length blond hair that gets greasy really easy. i need to wash it every day to make it look half decent!

i travel alot and don't always have the option to wash it everyday so i am looking for a little help to look respectable.

Can any recommend a type?

thks

  • My daughter has long, thick, wavy hair which takes forever to dry. She use dry shampoo but does not seem to be too bothered which one, I think the last one was Batiste. Never noticed anything showing in her hair either.

  • Washing it everyday probably doesn't help (not that I'm a hairdresser but natural oils are good for your hair or change of shampoo can help)
I have even used talc in my hair, baby johnsons in my fringe, but I have batiste I ordered from asos and also have james brown dry shampoo both really good, but wouldn't use too much of the stuff, dulls my coloured hair.

Just spray it around your hair and towel drying can help, gets rid of any residue.

yes i agree washing everyday is not the best - but it gets soo greasy it looks terrible. It is a natural blond but when it gets greasy it goes really dark and very noticable.

i do alter between 2 shampoos during the week - Timeote and Pantene.

I can't afford to break the bank but i wish i could stop it getting so greasy and needing to wash everyday - that is why i thought of the Dry Shampoo.

i hve used talc in the past too, but was afraid the smell would give me away

hair is difficult you don't want it to look greasy but then you might want a shine on it, baby talc non fragranced doesn't smell or after talcing spray boots own coconut leave in conditioner spray and that helps to freshen hair (small spray last time I bought it was around £1)
If you start using rose or lavender talc then thats when people can guess you smell of talcum powder.

Try Batiste with a fragrance, i've got diva and just has a nice smell rather than plain.
They are at superdrug also boots, asos stock.

I use Batiste to stop hair getting greasy. I have very long hair so washing, drying and straightening everyday damages it. I wash my hair every other day instead and use batiste the days in between.
It's great as well if you're going to festivals or camping in the middle of nowhere LOL !
I like the Boho and Diva one as it makes my hair smell nice. I buy it from Home and Bargain at £1.49 (nearly a £1 cheaper than supermarket)

I am obsessive about washing my hair, it used to get washed every morning without fail. I'm not working at the moment though, so spending an hour blow drying it every day when no-one would even see it seemed a bit pointless. I've been using the Batiste dry shampoo every other day and it does work! My hair is in much better condition now I aren't washing it everyday, and I've noticed it doesn't look like it needs washing as much as it used to. I can get away with just a bit of dry shampoo on my fringe now.

Home bargains and b&m's are cheapest for it I have found :)
  • I've tried a few dry shampoos and not been very impressed with any of them. I get really greasy hair at the roots and it really needs washing everyday which is not great for keeping your colour. However I have tried the tres emme one and have found tha.t has quite good results and I can wash my hair every other day. Its worth a try.
