I get a Crusty bun (65p/4), slab of cheese (25p), Tomato and Butter all for under a pound. This is a money saving site!

Did you mumble in an incomprehensible accent to yourself while arguing with your workmate in a foreign language and look at the tomato in a mystified manner before asking yoursen if you wanted crisps or a cookie with it?
If not you haven’t had the full subway experience.

And? Don't recall anything saying I had to be penniless and not eat in fast food restaurants when I joined this site...

Lies Freddie. Where are you getting slabs of cheese from for 25p? Lies, damn lies.

Edit - and in fact, all of that - I refuse to believe you can buy all that for under £1. Provide me with links please and I shall retract all the above.

Well work it out, he's saying:

Crusty Bun x 4 = 65p
Slab of cheese = 25p

So, that leaves a whole 9p to buy the butter and the tomato then because according to Freddie this is all for UNDER a pound!

i have never been in, or eaten anything from subway, their window posters of a sandwich saying "the ??? ?????? ???? now only £3.99" puts me right off, i make my own sandwiches at a fraction of them prices. i think they are very expensive for what they give people.
Owed out = lots.

I like subway sandwiches and have had BBQ rib in the past and they always ask which sauce I want at the end.

I was in town one day last week and nipped in for a breakfast sub and noticed the muffins they were using had a Best Before date on the packet of 20/12/10. I asked if I could have mine on a fresh muffin but got told that they had to use these up first, I declined their offer and ended up at a butty shop which was very nice and i'll use ahead of subway any time in the future.

Their 'Eat Fresh' motto certainly didn't apply there.

Jennyfive- Totally appreciate what you are saying, but as mentioned, other franchises add the sauce at the end of the process, after asking you if you want them. The attitudes of the staff were p**s poor.

I also totally agree that they are over priced for what you get-have even resorted to 'making my own' at home but somehow they are not appreciated the same :( Had I been on my own I would not have gone in for one.

One of the hallmark traits of the poor is eating in fast food restaurants.
Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”
Said Diogenes, “Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.”

Rhianna. Worth? $25 million

Heidi Klum, model, incredibly fit, not in the least bit overweight. Worth around £4 million.

So much for being overweight and poor then eh?
