Thomas Cook Flight - Glasgow to Sanford Orlando

Hi
I'm flying to Sanford Orlando in July this year with my family (husband & 11 year old daughter) with Thomas Cook.
I was told on booking the flights that there would be inflight entertainment (tv on back of seats) and good leg room (33").
Recently I've read reviews on other websites saying that this is not the case? I only booked these flights due to the service promised and I'm now getting very nervous that we're to have cramped leg room and no inflight entertainment  which would be a nightmare for a 8 hour plus flight
Has anyone been on this flight recently and could they advise what is being offered??
Thanks

Ahh therein lies the problem, I book holidays for the destination not the transport to...
Sorry just made me laugh that someone would book a holiday on the basis of the transport there.

33" pitch and IFE is standard for most but not all Thomas Cook longhaul flights - if you have booked for a plane that does not offer this it appears in the 'important information' during the booking process0

Thanks for your comments, and I'm so happy I made you laugh.
If you read my post properly you would find that I wanted to ensure that what I have paid for is what I am going to receive, which is not a lot to ask. I did not choose my holiday on the basis of the transport there!!
We have travelled to Florida on a number of occasions but never with Thomas Cook and after reading a number of bad reviews on their flights I was hoping some other HELPFUL travellers might be able to put my mind at ease.0 -
Thanks Caz3121 for your advice :beer:0

I laughed at the same thing. It did sound like you'd picked solely on the flight "facilities"
I'd like to point out that IFE can go down or stop operating (maybe a better term when talking about a plane !) on any flight. If having some kind of media is so essential you might be better investing in a portable dvd player, taking a laptop loaded with entertainment or the like. I've been on flights where the films were rubbish and was happy to have a book or my own laptop with my choice of entertainment even with working IFE.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Yes I picked the flight solely on the flights "facilities" but not my destination. Perhaps my wording was not very clear, bu I don't think it's too much to want the most for my hard earned cash
If anything, it was the seat pitch that I was most interested in. I wanted to ensure that my family would be as comfortable as possible on this long flight. After reviewing the other airlines I found that TC provided the best in economy seating.
With regards to IFE, we have experienced overhead TV's in the past which are not ideal, and obviously seat backed TV's are always going to be more desirable. We do come prepared with our kindles etc0 -
I don't think it's unusual at all to choose a specific airline based on it's onboard comfort level!
Obviously the point of a flight is to get you to your destination, but if you've got a choice of carriers you'd be right to select based on price AND comfort!Legal team on standby0 -
Thanks malkie76, that's exactly what we based our purchase on...price and comfort0

The way to tell, go onto the Thomas Cook website and search for a holiday on your dates wit your very flights (accomodation does not matter, as long as it is your date and flight). Take it through all the way to the quote page and underneath the quote is a link to "Important Information"
Click that link, if you are on the aircraft with less leg room it will state something to the effect of "Please note this flight only has 29" seat pitch"0
